Early morning wake-up calls suck, especially during the Holidays but what wouldn't I do for some beauty bargains? Happy Boxing Day everyone! Let the sale begin...

As usual SpaceNK is the best place for amazing post-Christmas deals. With extremely limited stocks, early birds get the best ones of course and I was able to snatch some great sets early this morning - both for me and some upcoming birthdays -, but there're still some interesting bargains going on. This Works set are great value for money at regular price but during the sales they become absolutely irresistible. I picked one from the Sleep range for myself that now appears to be sold out but a similar duo is still going strong on the website: the Dream Believers Duo (was 20£ now 10£) features two pampering products to make falling asleep easy peasy even on the most stressful days. I'm a big fan of the Sleep Balm - also on sale on its own - and that Dream Cream sounds delightful as well.
It seemed rude not to indulge in some incredible Laura Mercier gift sets, especially when those super yummy fragrances are involved. The Laura Mercier Body & Bath Luxe Quartet Crème Brulèe (was £60 now £30) had my name written all over it, along with a couple of other kits that will make my beauty addicted friends extremely happy. Crème Brulèe is my favourite scent from the Bath & Body range but I'd be lying if I said it was easy to resist to the other fragrances in the sale section. This set includes 150g sizes (regulars are 300g) of the Honey Bath, Scrub and Body Soufflè along with a gorgeous scented candle that will send you straight to sniffer heaven. Purple lovers will adore the Petite Baked Eye Colour Bonbons Trio in Amethyst (was £20 now £10); I know I did. This charming mini-palette contains three wet-dry shadows perfect for day and night looks and it's hardly a bank breaker. It basically jumped in my cart on its own volition.
Finally I must have spent a good five minutes cursing the shipping restriction rules because I had to put the Diptyque L'Ombre Dans L'Eau EDT (was £68 now £34) back on its virtual shelf. I've never seen such a huge discount on these fragrances; I get teary-eyed just thinking about it. Sob.

Moving onto Beautybay, I made a little hit-and-run purchase when I saw the Stila Colour Me Pretty Convertible Lip Cheek Palette (was £19.68 now £15.86) in the middle of the sale bunch. Although it's not a massive save, it appears to be sold out everywhere else and since I had it in my Christmas wishlist I couldn't let the chance slip.

I also flipped through Feelunique very quickly this morning and the BareMinerals Perfect Ten READY Multi-Face Palette (was £39 now £29.25) ended up in my cart right away. I still haven't clicked the checkout button yet but I'm seriously contemplating the purchase. The shades are absolutely stunning and so utterly me I'll probably end up buying it by the end of the day.

Last but not least, Selfridges has gone all out with the sales this year. If you haven't purchased it full price before the Holidays like yours truly here did and therefore you're not currently mentally-kicking yourself in the shins, the Shu Uemura Takashi Murakami Collection S Curler (was £20 now £13) is definitely worth a look. More on it later on the blog but I'm seriously loving it for my stubborn outer lashes.

Le alzatacce all'alba durante le Feste non piacciono a nessuno, però cosa non si farebbe per dei fantastici saldi beauty? Siete pronte per i saldi del Boxing Day? Io i miei danni li ho già fatti e queste sono alcune delle gemme che ho scovato.

Come sempre SpaceNK è il posto migliore in cui trovare degli affaroni post-natalizi. Con scorte estrememamente limitate, arrivare per primi è d'obbligo e 'stamattina presto sono riuscita ad aggiudicarmi alcuni cofanetti ed edizioni limitate, sia per me sia per alcune amiche che compiono gli anni all'inizio dell'anno; alcuni dei prodotti che ho acquistato sono già sold-out ma ci sono comunque altri piccoli tesori che attendono solo di essere acquistati.
I set This Works sono già molto convenienti di loro, ma a prezzo scontato sono assolutamente irresistibili. Ne ho acquistato uno dello Sleep range su cui avevo già messo gli occhi prima del Natale, ma ce n'è un altro molto simile sul sito: il Dream Believers Duo (costava €23 ora €11) è composto da due prodotti perfetti per una coccola serale, per addormentarsi senza problemi persino dopo le giornate più stressanti. Sono una grande fan dello Sleep Balm - che tra l'altro è in saldo anche sigolarmente - e dalla descrizione la Dream Cream sembra altrettanto sfiziosa.

Sembrava scortese non approfittare degli incredibili sconti sui cofanetti regalo Laura Mercier, soprattutto con tutto quel ben di dio di golosità per il bagno e la cura del corpo. Sul Laura Mercier Body & Bath Luxe Quartet Crème Brulèe (costava €72 ora €35), insieme ad un altro paio di kit che faranno impazzire le amiche, c'era praticamente scritto il mio nome. Sono andata a colpo sicuro con la profumazione Crème Brulèe, che è la mia preferita della linea, ma mentirei se dicessi che è stato facile resistere alle altre fragranze presenti nella sezione saldi del sito; sono una più appetitosa dell'altra. Questo cofanetto include tre taglie da 150g (i full size sono da 300g) del Miele da bagno, Scrub e Body Soufflè allo zucchero caramellato, più una deliziosa candela dal profumo davvero paradisiaco. Gli amanti del viola apprezzeranno il Petite Baked Eye Colour Bonbons Trio in Amethyst (costava €23 ora €11); io di certo l'ho fatto. Questa graziosa mini palette contiene tre ombretti cotti, utilizzabili asciutti o bagnati, perfetti per look da giorno e da sera; e con un prezzo così piccolo il salvadanaio non fa nemmeno una piega. In pratica si è buttato nel mio carrello di sua spontanea volontà.
Infine, ho passato quasi cinque minuti buoni a maledire le regole sui prodotti non spedibili per via aerea, perchè ho dovuto rimettere il Diptyque L'Ombre Dand L'Eau EDT (costava €81 ora €40) sul suo scaffale virtuale. Non ho mai visto un tale sconto sui profumi del marchio francese; mi vengono le lacrime agli occhi solo a pensarci. Sob.

Passando ai soliti noti, ho fatto un acquisto mordi-e-fuggi su Beautybay, dove ho scovato la Stila Colour Me Pretty Convertible Lip Cheek Palette (costava €23.60 ora €19) nel mezzo delle centinaia di prodotti in saldo. Nonostante il risparmio non sia importantissimo, questo gioiellino sembrerebbe esaurito praticamente ovunque - l'ho trovata solo su Asos ma a prezzo pieno - e visto che ce l'avevo già nella wishlist natalizia, non me la sono fatta scappare.

Ho scorso velocemente anche Feelunique, dove i saldi sono inziati addirittura la Vigilia. Non c'è nulla che mi abbia particolarmente colpita, a parte la BareMinerals Perfect Ten READY Multi-Face Palette (costava €48.75 ora €36.56) che è finita dritta dritta nel carrello. Non ho ancora completato il checkout ma sto considerando l'acquisto molto seriamente. Mi ci era già caduto l'occhio da Sephora, per i colori, che sono decisamente nelle mie corde, e l'aspetto in generale, che mi ha incantata. Credo che entro la fine della giornata dovrò aggiungere un'altra tacca sulla carta di credito.

Ultimo, ma non meno importante, Selfridges che quest'anno si è superato. Se non l'avete acquistato a prezzo pieno prima di Natale come la sottoscritta e di conseguenza non siete troppo impegnate a prendervi mentalmente a calci negli stinchi, vale la pena di dare un'occhiata al Shu Uemura Takashi Murakami Collection S Curler (costava €23 ora €15). Ne riparlerò prossimamente, ma mi sta piacendo tantissimo, soprattutto per le ciglia dell'angolo esterno, dritte che più dritte non si può.

Spero abbiate passato un magnifico Natale e che abbiate scovato qualche affare nei saldi post-natalizi del Boxing Day.

This is my second entry for the Worldwide wardrobe competition run by Travel supermarket.

In short five bloggers will have the chance to win an all expenses paid trip to the destination their outfit was inspired by plus £200 to purchase the outfit they created. There are five destinations to choose from: Shopping in London, clubbing in Ibiza, partying at Full moon party in Thailand, cocktails in New York and my pick for this outfit, Sightseeing in Paris. All you have to do to enter the competition is pick one city and create an outfit suited for the occasion with a budget of £200. You can enter one or all the categories to increase your chances of winning.

I've visited Paris with my mum back in 2007, I think, and it's definitively time for a second tour. With all the walking we did comfy outfits and flat shoes were a must. Back in the days I would have killed for this cuff bracelet with the Paris Métro map embossed on it; so much smarter than a huge paper map! Other sightseeing essentials are obviously a pair of sunglasses, something to keep your hair away from your face when things get sweaty and of course a medium sized bag: not too big so you won't be tempted to fill it with all kind of junk and regret it halfway through the Champs-Elysées, but roomy enough to carry around all your tourist essentials, including an extra memory card for your camera. It's so easy to go a little picture crazy in Paris and trying to erase old pictures in the middle of the Louvre while pressing through a crowd is beyond frustrating.
The bank is safe this time around: only £130 for the whole outfit and with the extra money, croissants for everyone!

In breve, 5 blogger avranno la possibilità di vincere un viaggio tutto pagato verso la destinazione che ha ispirato il loro outfit più £200 per acquistare l'outfit stesso. Le destinazioni tra cui scegliere sono cinque: shopping sfrenato a Londra un giro dei locali ad Ibiza, guardare la luna in Thailandia, cocktails a New York e la tappa che ha ispirato questo outfit, un giro turistico a Parigi. Per partecipare bisogna scegliere una città e creare un outfit adatto all'attività indicata con un budget di 200 sterline. Potete creare un solo outfit oppure partecipare in tutte le categorie per aumentare le vostre chance di vincere.

Sono stata a Parigi con la mamma, mi sembra, nel 2007, ed è da allora che vorrei tornarci. Con i chilometri che abbiamo macinato in pochi giorni, scarpe basse e vestiti comodi erano un must. Già allora avrei ucciso per un bracciale con la mappa dell'immensa Métro di Parigi; molto più chic di una gigantesca cartina stradale! L'equipaggiamento standard del turista prevede inoltre gl'immancabili occhiali da sole, qualcosa per tenere i capelli lontano dal viso quando si comincia a sudare di fronte all'ennesima scala a chiocciola e naturalmente una borsa di medie dimensioni: non deve essere enorme per evitare la tentazione di portarsi dietro un milione di cose inutili e pentirsene a metà degli Champs-Elysée, quando la tracolla comincerà a segarvi la spalla, ma abbastanza grande per contenere comodamente i must del turista, inclusa una memory card extra per la macchina fotografica. Persino lo chicchissimo bidone dell'immondizia parigino merita una foto e la memory card vi abbandona sempre sul più bello; cancellare le foto più vecchie una a una nel bel mezzo del Louvre con ventordicimila persone che ti spintonano non è il massimo, credetemi.
Questa volta sono stata stra-parsimoniosa: solo 150€ per tutto l'outfit e con il resto del budget croissant per tutti!

I've been lusting over visiting London literally for ages so of course my choice was quickly made. Without forgetting comfort, because it's all about rushing in and out of dozens of shops, I decided to keep it simple and elegant, with soft tones and touches of blush and mint - my go-to shades for spring - here and there. And of course the beauty blogger in me couldn't get out of adding a matchy-matchy nail polish to complete the outfit. I managed to stay in budget by the skin of a tooth, literally: the whole look costs £197. I dare you to do better.

Sono anni che sbrodolo all'idea di un viaggio a Londra per cui la scelta era già fatta. Senza dimenticare la comodità, perchè di entrare ed uscire da decine di negozi si tratta, ho scelto un look semplice ed elegante, con tocchi di verde menta e rosa cipria - i miei colori preferiti per la primavera - qua e là. E naturalmente la beauty blogger che è in me non poteva esimersi dal completare il look con uno smalto abbinato. Sono riuscita a rispettare il budget per un pelo: 4€ secchi di margine. Vi sfido a fare meglio.

Shopping: Boxing Day sale picks

We all love a good bargain but, let's be honest, no one enjoys endless lines and getting elbowed in the ribs by some fanatic middle-aged lady while trying to grab odd lot and scraps in an overcrowded store. Scrolling online shops in the quiet of your room, wearing feetie pajamas and sipping hot coco, is so much better. Online shopping ftw!

Here are the best deals I stumbled on during my Boxing Day online beauty shopping:

SpaceNK had some of the best deals I've seen but the stocks are small so be quick if you want something. The Laura Mercier section is definitely worth a look: the reductions were crazy and I grabbed myself some amazing gift sets for a fraction of the price (001, 002 and 004). Be sure to browse the candle section as well and the Shu Uemura beauty line: I picked up a couple of lipsticks (003) but I've seen some nice cream eyeshadow shades and some gorgeous false lashes in the bunch.

The latest China Glaze collections, including the Christmas one, are on sale on Beautybay, but some of the old ones were also restocked. I'm so glad I finally got my hand on Luxe and Lush (005) from the Hunger games Capitol collection! After all this time I didn't hold out much hope in finding it.

If you're a fan of Bare Minerals (006) be sure to check Lookfantastic, Feelunique and Asos; I've seen reductions on the range pretty much everywhere but those sites have the best deals and the biggest variety in my opinion.

Also on Beautybay you'll find the newest Naked palette by Urban Decay (001) on sale. It's a teeny-weeny reduction but it was a pleasant surprise anyway.

As usual Feelunique doesn't disappoint. I had to restrain myself a lot to just buy a Maybelline Color tattoo (002) and a Crabtree & Evelyn hand treatments sampler set (004) I had my eyes on since November. I'll probably have to go back and check some hair goodies tho, it's never to early to start stocking up on some favorites. Finally on Asos you'll find some good deals on the Holiday sets: along with This works, Paul & Joe, Yes to and Too faced, you'll find great bargains on the Illamasqua gift range (003). The Sangers and Succubus lip twin set (006) is seriously a stunner. And if you missed them before, now it's your time to grab some cute Essie minis (005).

Tutte quante amiamo i saldi, ma, diciamocelo, nessuno si diverte a fare file senza fine e farsi prendere a gomitate nelle costole da sovraecciate signore di mezza età e ragazzine, nel tentativo di conquistare fondi di magazzino ed avanzi. Sfogliare negozi online nella calma della propria camera, in pigiama e con una bella tazza di cioccolato caldo, è molto meglio. Senza contare che invece di aspettare il 5 gennaio, possiamo approfittare dei saldi post-natalizi che si svolgono da ieri oltre-Manica e, soprattutto, che da noi la maggior parte dei marchi beauty non aderiscono ai saldi.

Questi sono i prodotti migliori che ho adocchiato qua e là mentre facevo i miei acquisti:

SpaceNK aveva alcuni degli sconti migliori, ma i pezzi sono pochi, per cui bisogna affrettarsi a completare l'acquisto. I prodotti Laura Mercier sono tra i più scontati: i prezzi erano bassissimi ed ho messo le mani su alcuni gift set che non erano arrivati da noi in Italia (001,002 e 004). Vale la pena di dare un'occhiata anche alle candele ed ai prodotti Shu Uemura: io mi sono accaparrata una paio di rossetti (003) super scontati, ma anche gli ombretti in crema e le ciglia finte erano scontatissimi.

Le collezioni China Glaze più recenti, tra cui anche quella natalizia, sono in offerta su Beautybay, ma vi segnalo il riassortimento di collezioni più datate, come la Capitol colors ispirata a The Hunger games. Non posso credere di aver finalmente trovato Luxe & lush (005)! Dopo tutto questo tempo non ci speravo più.

E se amate Bare Minerals (006) date un'occhiata a Lookfantastic, Feelunique e Asos; ho visto riduzioni sul marchio praticamente dappertutto, ma questi siti hanno i prodotti migliori, anche se i prezzi di Beautybay sono più bassi di quelli di Sephora tutto l'anno.

Sempre su Beautybay troverete la più recente Naked palette di Urban Decay (001), che da noi non è ancora disponibile, ulteriormente scontata. La riduzione non è straordinaria, ma visto che è appena uscita non me l'aspettavo.

Come sempre Feelunique non delude. mi sono dovuta trattenere ed ho acquistato solo un Color tattoo di Maybelline (002) a poco più di 5€ ed un set di creme mani Crabtree & Evelyn (004) su cui avevo messo gli occhi già a novembre. Darò sicuramente un'altra occhiata al reparto capelli però, non è mai troppo presto per fare scorte. Infine su Asos troverete tantissimi prodotti scontati e gift set in offerta: tra This works, Paul & Joe, Yes to e Too faced, spiccano senz'altro gli sconti sui prodotti natalizi di Illamasqua (003). Il lip twin set Sanger e Succubus (006) è favoloso. E se non li avete ancora presi, questo è il momento giusto per acquistare i mini smalti Essie (005).
