Looking back at 2013, there are a few products that pop into my mind whenever I think about my best beauty discoveries. Last year I stumbled across some amazing releases and caught up with some blogger favourites and recommendations and these are the 13 products that made it to my favourites list - get comfy, it's a long one -.

Starting up with skin, last year I developed a wee bit obsession with skincare products and face masks in particular; I've collected a few along the way but the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask (£30) is probably the one I've used the most and the one I reach for every time I long for that extra boost of radiance. It's a great way to approach chemical exfoliators for all skin types - including sensitive complexions like mine -, because it's packed with amazing ingredients and gentle but effective at the same time. It leaves my skin feeling and looking uber bright and like new in just a handful of minutes.
For a daily dose of luminosity I couldn't live without the Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream (£23), which not only brightens and de-puffs the under-eye area but creates a flawless base for my concealer. Soft pink hues and loads of natural reflective particles help to banish dark circles and make you look fresh and awake.
I also fell in love with the Hydraluron Moisture Booster (£24.99), a fantastic serum that helps lock the moisture into the skin and quickly improves the appearance of dehydrated complexions. I use it every morning before my moisturizer and it's definitely one of the best skincare products I've tried.

Moving on to hair stuff, I'm still deeply in love with the Living Proof Prime Style Extender (£18). This amazing hair primer - which is still a quite odd thing to think about - really changed my styling routine: my hair stay clean for longer without losing their volume and also hold whatever style I decide to create twice as long as before. It doesn't weight my hair down and a tiny blob goes a very long way, so it's definitely worth the investment.
Another styling must have for me is the Bumble and Bumble BB Texture (£10), absolutely great to give extra grip to freshly washed hair without making them look greasy. It's perfect to tame soft and fluffy hair and make them more manageable and a lot easier to style, while adding some extra volume as well. Of course it couldn't be a serious hair talk without my beloved Tangle Teezer (£10.20) in Disco Purple. At first I purchased the travel size brush, which comes in handy on the go, but the full sized one has really changed my life. It makes it easier to brush my hair while still in the shower and work hair masks and styling products into my locks. I definitely noticed less fly-aways and decreased hair loss lately; if you're wondering if it's worth the splurge, you get a big thumbs-up from me here.

Makeup wise, I think the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (£38) in Diffused doesn't need any further introduction at this point. It's easily my best purchase of year and something I cant live without anymore: it's a Photoshop brush that blurs away pores and imperfection, disguised as a luminous setting powder. It's definitely worth the hype.
For concealer, at the beginning of the year I kept going on and on about the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (£21) which is excellent for the under-eye area, as it offers the perfect combination of moisturizing yet long wearing formula and great coverage. Early in September, however, I fell and fell hard for the Origins Plantscription Anti-aging Concealer (£17) that made me put its NARS counterpart aside. It's moisturizing, a perfect match for my skin tone and really brightening, thanks to the peachy hues. I use it on my dark circles and on my blemishes as well and I can't go without it anymore. I have a soft spot for treatment makeup - you all know that by now - and this product is definitely a top favourite of mine and possibly a forever repurchase.
Last but not least for the base, I can't stress you enough about how amazing the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (£34.50) is: it's light on the skin, long lasting and looks absolutely flawless. The finish is radiant and oh so natural and the coverage is easy to customize for effortless day-wear or nifty night-outs.

Of all the beauty brands I've approached in two thousand thirteen Charlotte Tilbury's own makeup line is the one that truly stood out to me and completely knocked it out of the park, thanks to fabulous textures, stunning '20s-inspired packaging and an overall outstanding quality. Something I use on a daily basis is the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (£49) to bring some Hollywood glamour to my skin. The luminous powder gives the most stunning candlelight glow to my cheekbones, bridge of the nose and Cupid's bow, while the tan side is great both to warm up my complexion and sculpt the hollows of my cheeks for fuss-free, day-appropriate contouring. Finally, my crush for the amazing Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette (£38) in Golden Goddess can't simply go unnoticed. It features three buttery soft eyeshadow and a pressed glitter shade to spice up any look; the shades included in this quad aren't particularly groundbreaking but their quality is absolutely striking and I can't recommend it enough.

Lastly on to perfumes, I've never been the loyal type when it comes down to fragrances but the Diptyque Philosykos edt (£50) won my heart and became my signature fragrance throughout summer and fall, with some little features here and there even in winter time. It's sweet and fresh, persistent but never overwhelming and if you've been around here long enough you'll know everything about my fig obsession, so I'll stop rambling right now.

Guardando indietro al 2013, ci sono alcuni prodotti che mi vengono immediatamente in mente se penso alle mie migliori scoperte beauty. L'anno scorso mi sono imbattuta in alcune novità eccezionali ma ho anche seguito raccomandazioni e consigli di amici ed altre blogger, e scoperto cosa mi perdevo dopo aver recuperato alcuni dei loro prodotti top; questi sono i tredici prodotti che ho amato di più l'anno passato - mettetevi comode, perchè ci vorrà un po' -.

Cominciando dalla pelle, l'anno scorso ho sviluppato una discreta ossessione per i prodotti skincare ed in particolare per le maschere viso; ne ho collezionate un bel po' ma la REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask (€33) è probabilmente quella che ho utilizzato più spesso e su cui faccio affidamento ogni volta che necessito di una dose di radiosità extra. E' un buon modo per avvicinarsi agli scrub chimici visto che contiene ottimi ingredienti naturali ed è efficace ma comunque delicata allo stesso tempo. Lascia la pelle più luminosa e come nuova in una manciata di minuti.
Per un'iniezione quotidiana di luminosità non posso rinunciare alla Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream (€27), una crema occhi che non solo illumina e sgonfia in contorno occhi, ma è anche un'ottima base per il correttore. Un sottotono rosa appena accennato e milioni di particelle riflettenti aiutano a nascondere le occhiaie e donano allo sguardo un aspetto fresco e riposato.
Mi sono anche innamorata dell'Hydraluron Moisture Booster (€23.70), un fantastico siero che sigilla l'idratazione negli strati più profondi della cute e migliora rapidamente l'aspetto della pelle disidratata. Lo utilizzo tutte le mattine prima della crema da giorno ed è di sicuro uno dei prodotti più efficaci che abbia testato.

Passando ai prodotti per capelli, sono ancora innamorata persa del Living Proof Prime Style Extender (€21). Questo fantastico primer per capelli - è ancora un concetto stranissimo se ci penso - ha davvero cambiato il modo in cui mi approccio allo styling e la mia routine in toto: i capelli restano puliti più a lungo senza perdere volume e mantengono qualsivoglia acconciatura per molto più tempo rispetto a prima. Non appesantisce assolutamente le ciocche ed una piccola quantità è più che sufficiente, per cui vale davvero l'investimento.
Una scoperta più recente ma ugualmente irrinunciabile è il Bumble and Bumble BB Texture (€12), ottimo per aggiungere tenuta ed un po' di spessore ai capelli appena lavati, senza però sporcarli. Aiuta a domare le chiome più soffici e sottili rendendole più facili da acconciare e aggiungendo allo stesso tempo un po' di volume.
Naturalmente non posso trascurare un oggetto indispensabile per la cura di tutti i giorni, il mio amato Tangle Teezer (€12.50) nel colore Disco Purple. In un primo momento avevo acquistato la versione pocket, che è comunque comodissima in viaggio o da tenere in borsa, ma la versione originale mi ha davvero cambiato la vita. Spazzolare i capelli ancora in doccia non è più un problema e distribuire maschere o prodotti per lo styling su tutte le ciocche è ormai questione di pochi colpi di spazzola. Ho notato un deciso calo di capelli spezzati e caduti, per cui se siete ancora in dubbio sull'acquisto, dalla sottoscritta avrete una bella spinta e pollici in su.

Per quanto riguarda il makeup, credo che l'Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (€46) in Diffused non abbia bisogno di un'ulteriore introduzione. Penso di poterlo definire tranquillamente il miglior acquisto dell'anno passato ed è comunque un prodotto di cui ormai non posso più fare a meno: è un pennello di Photoshop che riduce imperfezioni e pori in una sola passata, mascherato da polvere illuminante per fissare il trucco. E' sulla bocca di tutti ma per un buon motivo, ve lo assicuro.
Passando ai correttori, all'inizio dell'anno non facevo altro che parlare del NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (€26), che è eccellente soprattutto per la zona occhiaie - Vanilla e Chantilly che sono i miei colori purtroppo sono troppo rosati da utilizzare sulle imperfezioni -, perchè combina una formula idratante ma comunque a lunga durata ed un'ottima coprenza. All'inizio di Settembre, però, ho provato l'Origins Plantscription Anti-aging Concealer (€20) e l'ho amato talmente tanto da accantonare la sua controparte NARS senza rimpianti. E' idratante, un match perfetto con la mia carnagione e dall'effetto illuminante grazie ai toni pesca della tonalità Fair. Ho un debole per il makeup trattamento - ormai lo sanno anche i sassi - e questo è di sicuro uno dei miei prodotti preferiti di sempre e, perchè no, che continuerò a ricomprare per molto tempo.
Per concludere con la base, torno a sottolineare ancora una volta quanto sia fantastico il Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (€44.95): è leggero sulla pelle, quasi impalpabile, dura a lungo e crea una base praticamente perfetta. Il finish è radioso e super naturale e la coprenza è facilmente modulabile per i look da tutti i giorni o per un evento speciale.

Di tutte le marche che ho scoperto o a cui mi sono avvicinata nel 2013, la linea di Charlotte Tilbury è quella che senza dubbio si è distinta di più, mettendo tutti gli altri brand un po' in ombra, grazie alle texture favolose, il packaging mozzafiato d'ispirazione anni '20 ed in generale una qualità incredibile. Un prodotto che uso ormai quotidianamente per aggiungere un pizzico di glamour Holliwoodiano al mio makeup  è il Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (€59). La polvere illuminante dona a zigomi, ponte del naso ed arco di Cupido un bagliore delizioso color champagne; il bronzer invece è perfetto sia per scaldare l'incarnato sia per definire i contorni del viso in modo delicato e credibile, perfetto per il giorno. Infine, come dimenticare la palette che mi ha rubato il cuore, ovvero la Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette (€46) in Golden Goddess. Contiene tre ombretti dalla texture soffice e setosa più un glitter pressato per aggiungere un po' di brio ad ogni look; di certo i colori di questa palette non sono particolarmente unici o innovativi ma la qualità è straordinaria, per cui non posso far altro che raccomandarla caldamente.

Per finire, un profumo. Non sono mai stata il tipo da utilizzare lo stesso profumo con costanza, ma Diptyque Philosykos edt (€69) mi ha conquistata ed è diventato la mia fragranza caratteristica per l'estate e l'autunno, facendo capolino qua e là persino nelle giornate più fredde. E' dolce e fresco, persistente ma non opprimente e se è un po' che mi leggete, ormai saprete tutto della mia ossessione per il profumo di fico, per cui la smetto subito prima di cominciare a blaterare.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette // Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser* // Wayne Goss Makeup Brushes 01, 02 & 03 // Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette The Golden Goddess // MAC Lipstick Plumful

Happy first of the month! We can officially start obsessing over Christmas - yay! -, which also reminds me I'm running awfully late on my gift shopping. Typical.
Anyways, the past month has brought some wicked beauty products to the table and here are my most played picks.

During the month of November I did the unthinkable: I put aside my beloved Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (£34) in Diffused, but only because I got my mitts on the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Wardrobe (£56). This swoon-inducing limited edition palette features three shades of the famous illuminating powders, plus a deluxe sample of the best-selling Veil Mineral Primer (£52), which is definitely worth a try. Dim Light is a neutral peachy beige that looks great dusted all over for an amazing glow; Incandescent Light is exclusive to this palette and it's a lovely pink-ish opalescent highlighter that gives a stunning fairy-dust glow to the cheek bones; Radiant Light is the most subtle and believable bronzer I've ever tried and warms up the complexion with a golden beige luminosity without actually adding too much colour. It's like a million dollars face all in one palette, so convenient and a great value for money. Gotta love such a pretty bargain!
Next up on the breath-stealers lineup is the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette The Golden Goddess (£38), aka the one that blew me out of the water at first touch. The shades included within the palette are color-coded for fail-safe application and comprise a creamy pale gold, a taupey-grey shade that reminds me of MAC Satin taupe and Patina mixed together, and a sultry warm bronze, plus a pop shade made of antiqued-brass glittery goodness. The regular shades are unbelievably soft, buttery and so easy to blend. Both pigmentation and longevity deserve a praise on their own, and the '20s inspired brown and rose gold packaging is an absolute head-turner.
At 38£ it doesn't come cheap but it's worth every single penny. Actually, it's so amazing my finger could have accidentally slipped on the checkout button and I may have bought more.

At last, my lip color of choice at the moment is MAC Plumful (£15), an easy to wear plummy pink that goes pretty much with everything and adds a bit of a sultry, autumnal vibe to every look. I find the formula slightly different from the usual Lustre one, less glossy and a whit thicker, but just as comfortable. It lasts quite well and fades nicely to a dark pink stain.

On to skincare, at the end of October I went to the Caudalie store opening and I was gifted the Instant Foaming Cleanser (£13.50)* and I've been using it non stop ever since. I'm completely obsessed with this range and the sage and grapevine scent, which is refreshing and extremely pleasant to use on the skin. The light foam melts away any impurity and makeup residue, leaving the skin squeaky clean and uber soft, without any tightness or drying feeling. Even if I'm only half way through the bottle, I already know that it's a definite re-purchase.

I have three new brushes I've been testing out in the last few weeks and my love for them can't simply go unnoticed. They're all part of the Wayne Goss brush range, available esclusively on Love-makeup.co.uk and Beautylish for the US. Brush 01 (£30) is a blend of goat and synthetic fibers, which smooth on foundation effortlessly. Those bristles are absolutely brilliant for dry and sensitive skin because are extremely delicate and pack on a flawless coverage without bothering the skin underneath. Brush 02 (£25) and 03 (£20) are made of uber soft, luxurious squirrel hair. I don't believe in powdering the whole face and 02 is absolutely perfect for pinpoint powdering around the nose and under the eyes. The lightly tapered shape fits perfectly under the cheekbones for seamless contouring and is excellent to dust highlighter over the high points of the face and blush right on the apple of the cheek. 03 is hands down the best blending brush I own; it fits right in the crease and blends even the darkest shades to a pixel-perfect gradient in just a few swipes.

Buon primo del mese! Possiamo ufficialmente cominciare a pensare ossessivamente al Natale - yay! -, il che, tra l'altro, mi ricorda che sono indietrissimo con lo shopping natalizio. Tipico. Voi a che punto siete?
Comunque, nell'ultimo mese le scoperte beauty si sono sprecate ed un sacco di prodotti eccezionali si sono aggiunti alla mia collezione. Ecco quelli che ho utilizzato di più.

Durante Novembre ho fatto l'impensabile: ho messo da parte la mia adorata Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (€40) in Diffused, ma solo perchè ho messo le grinfie sull'Hourglass Ambient Lighting Wardrobe (€67). Questa palette da svenimento in edizione limitata contiene tre tonalità delle celebri polveri illuminanti più una mini taglia deluxe del best-seller Veil Mineral Primer (€62), un altro di quei prodotti da provare assolutamente. Dim Light è un beige scaldato da toni pesca, perfetto da applicare su tutto il viso per una luminosità incredibile; Incandescent Light è un'esclusiva di questo set ed è un illuminante opalescente leggermente rosato che evidenzia gli zigomi come polvere di fata; Radiant Light è il bronzer più discreto e credibile che abbia mai provato e scalda l'incarnato con bagliori dorati senza in realtà aggiungere troppo colore. E' come avere tutti i filtri di Instagram in una palette, comodissima ed alla fin fine piuttosto conveniente. Impossibile non amarla.
Il prossimo nella lista dei prodotti mozzafiato è la Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette The Golden Goddess (€45), ovvero quella che mi ha letteralmente rubato il cuore al primo tocco. I colori inclusi nel quad sono numerati per facilitare l'applicazione alle meno esperte e comprendono un cremoso oro pallido, una talpa grigio che mi ricorda un mix di Satin Taupe e Patina di MAC ed un bronzo intenso, più un glitter pressato color ottone anticato, perfetto per aggiungere un tocco di frivolezza ad ogni look. Gli ombretti sono incredibilmente morbidi, burrosi ed eccezionalmente facili da sfumare. Sia la saturazione del colore sia la durata meriterebbero un trattato a parte, ed il packaging d'ispirazione anni '20, marrone e oro rosa, è decisamente uno splendore. A 45€ non è la palette più a buon mercato del mondo ma vale ogni singolo centesimo. In realtà è così favolosa che potrebbe essermi scivolato il dito sul tasto del checkout e potrei averne ordinata un'altra.

Per finire con il makeup, il rossetto che sto indossando di più in assoluto è MAC Plumful (€18.65), un semplice rosa prugna che va con tutto ed aggiunge un pizzico di autunno ad ogni look. Trovo che sia leggermente diverso dagli altri Lustre che possiedo, più spesso e meno lucido, ma ugualmente confortevole. Dura abbastanza a lungo e svanisce in maniera uniforme come uno stain rosa scuro.

Per quanto riguarda la skincare, alla fine di ottobre ho fatto un salto all'evento di apertura dello store Caudalie e mi è stata regalata la Schiuma Detergente (€15.85)* che ho utilizzato senza sosta fin dal primo momento. Sono ossessionata dal suo profumo d'uva, davvero rinfrescante e piacevolissimo sul viso. La schiuma leggera dissolve impurità e residui di makeup, lasciando la pelle pulita in profondità e vellutata, senza sgradevoli sensazioni di secchezza e fastidio. Anche se non sono nemmeno a metà confezione so già che finirà della lista dei prodotti da ricomprare ancora e ancora.

Recentemente ho messo le mani su tre nuovi pennelli che ho testato nelle ultime settimane ed il mio amore per loro non può certo passare inosservato. Sono parte della linea ideata da Wayne Goss, disponibile in esclusiva su Love-makeup.co.uk. Le fibre dello 01 (€36)sono un misto di capra e setole sintetiche, che distribuiscono il prodotto, ed in particolare il fondotinta, alla perfezione, senza sforzi. Queste setole sono assolutamente magnifiche per le pelli secche e sensibili perchè sono davvero delicate e permettono di costruire una coprenza ideale senza disturbare la pelle sottostante e sollevare eventuali pellicine. I pennelli 02 (€30) e 03 (€24) invece, sono fatti di soffice e sontuoso pelo di scoiattolo. Personalmente non credo serva applicare polvere su tutto il viso, ma solo dove necessario; 02 è ideale per questo scopo, perchè raggiunge e deposita la giusta quantità di polvere nel contorno occhi e sulla zona T. La forma leggermente appuntita consente di applicare contouring e highlighter con precisione, sfumando il prodotto allo stesso tempo, e anche di applicare un leggero tocco di blush sugli zigomi. 03 è senza dubbio il miglior pennello da sfumatura che possiedo; è insuperabile per sfumare anche gli ombretti più scuri in poche passate. Sono seriamente tentata di collezionarli tutti. Qualcuno è mai andato in bancarotta per dei pennelli?

Surprisingly, no skincare product made it to the cut this time - what a shocker -, but only because I've been using the same ol' stuff for pretty much all of October. However I've found some amazing makeup and nail gems in the last few weeks. Once again the key word is 'glowy'.

After hunting down the right shade for weeks I finally purchased the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (£34.50). It's a beautiful base with a light-as-air texture that provides medium coverage and has a fantastic satin skin-like finish. The name is quite spot on actually, as it leaves the skin soft and smooth like silk and it's luminous and glowy like healthy complexion. It's the kind of foundation you can apply sparingly only where needed because it blends seamlessly, melting with the skin. I like to apply it with a dense buffing brush to get the best out of the coverage or with my new blending sponge for an air-brushed finish. The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (£4.99) is such a great, affordable find and probably my favourite purchase of the month. The shape is simply brilliant. It's so great for a quick base because you can use it to apply everything: the flat side is perfect to pack on foundation and build up the coverage, while the pointy end reaches every hard-to-reach spot and pushes concealer right onto the blemishes; finally the rounded side diffuses and blends in cream blush and highlighter, and even powder, if you're feeling particularly lazy. I've always wanted to try the Beauty Blender but honestly, I'm so happy with this sponge I don't feel the need to splurge anymore.

For the eyes, the Origins Plantscription Anti-aging concealer (£17) has officially taken the place of NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer inside my heart and my makeup bag as well. The formula is superb: it's moisturizing but doesn't budge, crease or settle into fine lines. It gives great coverage, looks fresh all day long and, thanks to a hint of brightening salmon, corrects and conceals any blueness in just one swipe. I'm seriously impressed with this concealer.
Next up, the Clinique Chubby Stick For Eyes in 09 Lavish Lilac (£17)* is my go-to product for lazy makeup days, because I can simply slap it on without any need for a primer and blur it at the edges with my ring finger. It's a rich metallic lavender that really makes my eyes pop and it's easy to build up for the most effortless smokey look.

I feel like I've been talking about the MAC RiRi Hearts Bad Girl Gone Good Powder Blush (£20) fair too much lately but I haven't put it down since I bought it. Its satin finish gives a lovely healthy glow to the cheeks and the coppery peach shade instantly warms up the complexion. Also, because it's a little bit darker than my usual peaches, it gives definition and structure to my face as well. Another newbie that has earned a place in my everyday routine is the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (£49). I'm not sure I can convey how awesome these powders are.  The Highlight side is a buttery-soft champagne beige that gives the most flattering candlelight glow to the cheekbones, whereas Sculpt is a neutral based bronzer with a barely-there shimmer running through it. Both blend so well with the skin and define without looking synthetic and artificial. I can't recommend this duo enough.

On to nails, I've fallen in love with nude shades all over again. I've been wearing Faby The Desert Rose (£11)* on my toes for almost two months in a row and I've been reaching for it for my hands as well lately. It's a simple yet sophisticated rose nude polish with an amazing formula and great wear, that looks stunning on its own or with a light dust of gold glitters on top. Another shade that has been gracing my paws recently is Nails Inc. Porchester Square (£11), an all time favourite of mine. I'd describe it as a pale mink with grey and lilac undertones. Every time I wear it I can't stop staring at my nails and it's one of the few shades I can wear many times in a row without getting bored. I really love this one.

Sorprendentemente, non ci sono prodotti skincare nemmeno nei preferiti di questo mese - che shock, lo so -, non perchè mi sia finalmente passata la mania ma perchè per gran parte di Ottobre ho usato le solite cose. Ho comunque scovato delle vere gemme nel reparto unghie e makeup nelle ultime settimane e di nuovo la parola chiave è 'luminosità'.

Dopo aver cercato la giusta colorazione per diverse settimane, ho finalmente acquistato il Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (€44.95). E' una bellissima base con una texture leggerissima, che offre coprenza media ma facilmente modulabile ed ha un delizioso finish come pelle. Il nome è piuttosto azzeccato visto che lascia la pelle morbida e liscia come seta ed è luminoso ma non lucido. E' il genere di fondotinta che si può applicare solo dove serve, perchè si fonde con l'incarnato, senza lasciare traccia. Lo applico con un pennello denso per ottenere la massima coprenza o con la mia nuova spugnetta per ottenere un risultato air-brushed. La Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (€6.25) è una scoperta fenomenale e per lo più ha un prezzo piccolo piccolo; oserei dire che è l'acquisto migliore del mese. La forma è semplicemente geniale, perchè è ideale per una base veloce ma comunque perfetta e per diversi tipi di applicazione: il lato piatto applica il fondotinta e permette di modulare la coprenza, mentre la punta spinge il correttore direttamente sulle aree da coprire ed arriva anche nei punti più difficili da raggiungere; infine la parte arrotondata sfuma blush ed illuminante in crema, ed applica persino la polvere. Ho sempre voluto provare il Beauty Blender ma sono così contenta di questa spugna che non sento più il bisogno di fare spese pazze.

Per quanto riguarda gli occhi, l'Origins Plantscription Anti-aging concealer (€20)ha ufficialmente preso il posto del NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer nella mia routine e nel mio cuore. La formula è superba: è idratante, ma non si sposta, non si infila nelle pieghe e nelle rughette di espressione. Copre molto bene, mantiene un aspetto fresco per tutto il giorno e, grazie ad un pizzico di color salmone, illumina e corregge le occhiaie in una passata. Sono assolutamente colpita.
Segue il Clinique Chubby Stick For Eyes in 09 Lavish Lilac (€17.50)*, il prodotto che utilizzo di più nei giorni di pigrizia assoluta, perchè si applica in un lampo ed è facile da sfumare con le dita. Lavish Lilac è un ricco lavanda metallizzato che mette davvero in risalto i miei occhi e rende creare un semplice trucco smokey una vera passeggiata.

Ho la sensazione di aver parlato del MAC RiRi Hearts Bad Girl Gone Good Powder Blush (€25.21) anche fin troppo ultimamente, ma l'ho utilizzato non-stop dal momento dell'acquisto. Il finish satinato dona luminosità alle guance e la tonalità pesca ramata è perfetta per riscaldare le guance ed in generale l'intero trucco. Tra l'altro, visto che è più scuro dei pesca che di solito utilizzo, crea anche definizione e dona struttura al viso. Un altro acquisto recente che è entrato nella mia routine quotidiana è il Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (€57). Non sono sicura di riuscire a rendere giustizia a questo duo di polveri in poche parole. Il lato Highlight è una polvere morbida come il burro color beige champagne che illumina gli zigomi in modo meraviglioso, mentre Sculpt è un bronzer neutro attraversato da una leggerissima iridescenza dorata appena percettibile. Entrambi si fondono con la pelle e scolpiscono i tratti del viso senza sembrare artificiali. Non posso che raccomandare questo prodotto a tutti.

Parlando di unghie, Ottobre è stato il mese delle tonalità neutre, che mi hanno di nuovo rubato il cuore. Saranno due mesi di fila che indosso Faby The Desert Rose (€13)* su mani e piedi ed ancora non mi sono stufata. E' un nudo rosato molto semplice ma comunque sofisticato, che fa la sua figura da solo oppure impreziosito da una spolverata di glitter dorati. La formula è uno spettacolo, cremosa, coprente ed a lunga durata. Un altro smalto che non mi stanco mai di applicare è Nails Inc. Porchester Square (€14), uno dei miei preferiti di tutti i tempi. Lo descriverei come un color visone con sottoni grigi e lilla. Ogni volta che lo metto non posso fare a meno di guardare le mie unghie in continuazione ed è uno dei pochi colori che posso indossare senza problemi anche più volte di fila perchè non mi viene mai a noia. E' davvero amore.

September has been a very good month beauty wise. The weather has been lovely and I got to try some amazing products, a few of which made it to my shortlist along with an old guy that has been neglected for way too long.

Starting up with makeup I decided it was time to dust off my NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer spf30/PA+++ (£28) - well that was a mouthful - and see if I could make it work this time. When I firstly tried it, about a year ago or so, I wasn't overly impressed. What kept me on the fence about this product, besides the slight oxidation, is the finish, more on the verge of sweaty glow rather than healthy glow, which might enhance pores and imperfections. However lately I've been applying it with the KIKO Blender Sponge which somehow manages to tone down the glow, provides a radiant, flawless finish and makes building the coverage so much easier. The oxidation is still an issue unfortunately but I can make it work anyways now that I have a little color left from summer and I've been enjoying the extra-light texture a lot lately.

After raving so much about them in my previous review (here) I couldn't leave the Bourjois Cream Blushes (£7.99) out of my favourites. 02 Healthy Glow is the one I wore the most, simply because it's your typical goes-with-everything shade. Bourjois blushes are so easy to brush on and go and the formula is such a pleasure to work with. I'm in love, you guys!

Also from Bourjois I've been loving the Color Boost Glossy Lipstick Crayon (£7.99) in 01 Red Sunrise and 03 Orange Punch, a beautiful cherry red that makes my teeth look uber white and a pretty pink-ish orange respectively. I'm not sold on this whole pencil lipstick thing yet, however these Color Boosts got me after just one use: they're incredibly moisturizing and super comfortable to wear, easy to apply and touch-up on the go and the color wears off nicely throughout the day. I can't swear on the 10 hours wear but they hold their ground during regular meals and last quite a long time. They're great and definitely worth the hype and I'd love to see some dark shades for fall too.

Finally, I felt a little guilty adding a limited edition product to my favourites but the Temperature Rising collection didn't come out too long ago and there's still a chance for you to get your hands on it. MAC Nude On Board Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder (£22) is the perfect bronzer for fair ladies: it's a yellow based bronzer with no orange in sight, semi-sheer but easy to build and with just enough shimmer to give a natural bronze glow. I've used it loads in the past months and god knows I'm not a bronzer girl. Knowing how hard it is to find a nice bronzer that doesn't make porcelain complexions look dirty, I really hope to see this in the permanent range someday.

The fig-obsession saga continues with the newest addiction to my fragrance line up, the Caudalie Figue de Vigne Eau Fraiche* (£23.40). Caudalie approaches the scent in a more grown-up way - compared for instance to Diptyque's Philosykos that I featured in my latest monthly favourites -, with a muskier base and warm citrusy notes in the background that smell like summer in the Mediterranean sea and fig leaves. It's perfect for the warm season but it will also be a nice transition scent toward fall. Really lovely.

It's been a nice month, still a bit summer-ish, but I'm so glad we're finally moving into fall. I'm really excited for berry shades and sultry eyeshadow looks and I can't wait to take out boots, jumper and trench coats.

Settembre è stato davvero un buon mese, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il beauty. Il tempo è stato magnifico e sono riuscita a provare moltissimi nuovi prodotti, alcuni dei quali sono entrati di diritto nella lista dei preferiti del mese, insieme ad un vecchio conoscente che è stato ignorato troppo a lungo.

Iniziando con il makeup, mi sono decisa a rispolverare il NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer spf30/PA+++ (€34) e provare a farlo funzionare questa volta. La prima volta che l'ho provato, più o meno un anno fa, non sono rimasta particolarmente colpita. A parte l'ossidazione del colore, ciò che mi ha impedito di apprezzarlo completamente è la luminosità quasi eccessiva - al limite dell'effetto lucido più che radioso -, che tende a mettere in evidenza le imperfezioni ed i pori. Questa volta però, invece di mani e pennelli vari, ho utilizzato la Blender Sponge di KIKO (€5.90) ottenendo risultati di gran lunga migliori: la spugnetta in qualche modo riduce la luminosità ad un livello più gradevole, aiuta ad ottenere una coprenza migliore ed a perfezionare l'incarnato. L'ossidazione è ancora un problema purtroppo, ma finchè avrò ancora un po' di colore estivo residuo potrò utilizzarlo tranquillamente, e la texture ultra leggera è davvero piacevole.

Dopo averne parlato così bene nella mia review (qui) non potevo certo lasciar fuori i Bourjois Cream Blushes (€10.40) dalla lista dei preferiti. 02 Healthy Glow è quello che ho utilizzato di più per tutto settembre, semplicemente perchè si tratta della tipica tonalità che và con tutto. I blush Bourjois sono perfetti per un'applicazione al volo e la formula è un piacere da utilizzare. Li adoro, c'è poco da aggiungere.

Sempre di Bourjois, ultimamente ho amato i Color Boost Glossy Lipstick Crayon (€10.40) in 01 Red Sunrise e 03 Orange Punch, un bellissimo rosso ciliegia che fa sembrare i miei denti bianchissimi, ed un rosa arancio rispettivamente. Non sono ancora molto convinta di questa moda dei matitoni rossetto, ma la proposta Bourjois mi ha conquistata fin da subito: sono incredibilmente idratanti e molto confortevoli da indossare, facili da applicare ed eventualmente ritoccare al volo ed il colore svanisce in modo uniforme, senza orribili righe o macchie. Non metto la mano sul fuoco sulle 10 ore di durata ma resistono bene ai pasti e durano abbastanza a lungo. Sono ottimi e condivido l'entusiasmo collettivo, e butto lì una richiesta per dei colori autunnali già che ci sono.

Ero in dubbio se inserire o meno questo prodotto nei preferiti, visto che si tratta di una edizione limitata, ma mi sono accorta che sul sito è ancora disponibile, per cui farò un'eccezione. MAC Nude On Board Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder (€32.77) è la terra perfetta per noi ragazze chiare: è un bronzer a base gialla e nemmeno lontanamente arancione, dalla coprenza leggera ma facile da modulare e con la giusta quantità di iridescenza per donare una gradevole luminosità all'incarnato. L'ho utilizzato tantissimo negli ultimi mesi e dio solo sa che non sono affatto una fan dei bronzer. Sapendo quanto sia difficile trovare una terra abbronzante che non faccia sembrare le carnagioni di porcellana sporche, spero davvero di rivedere questo prodotto nella linea permanente un giorno.

La saga dell'ossessione per il profumo di fico continua con l'ultima aggiunta alla mia collezione di profumi, il Caudalie Figue de Vigne Eau Fraiche* (€26.40). Caudalie si accosta alla fragranza in un modo maturo, più adulto - rispetto per esempio a Philosykos di Diptyque di cui vi ho parlato nei miei precedenti preferiti del mese -, con una base muschiata e note calde di agrumi sullo sfondo, che si uniscono in un delizioso profumo di foglie di fico ed estati nel Mediterraneo. Perfetto per la stagione estiva ma anche un'ottima fragranza di transizione verso l'autunno. Adorabile.

E' stato un buon mese, ancora piuttosto estivo, ma sono contenta di queste prime avvisaglie d'autunno. Attendevo con ansia il momento degli smokey carichi e delle tonalità bacca ed è già un po' che aspetto di tirar fuori dagli armadi maglioni, stivali e trench. Amo troppo la stagione fredda!

Heat waves and busy days made me strip my routine to its bare-bones and keep it simple in the last few weeks. Here are the essentials that made it to the top list during the month of July.

The REN Omega 3 Night Repair Serum (34£) is not just one of my favourite products of the month but it might actually be my favourite serum ever. I thought nothing could take Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair's place in my heart but this truly blew me away. My skin looks plumper, softer and more hydrated every time I use it. It's like a full night of beauty sleep in liquid form and the fruit salad scent is to die for. I doubt anything will ever match this serum. I'm so pleased with everything REN I've tried so far, I want to try out the whole range now.

Lately I've been seriously obsessed with fig scents and Dyptique Philosykos EDT (50£) has quickly become my signature fragrance for summer. It's sweet and slightly musky, and smells exactly like ripe figs under the sun. In the past I tended to skip fragrances when it was too hot outside, but Philosykos isn't too overwhelming and is so light and fresh it feels almost like a body spray.

As for makeup, foundation can be a little tricky in the summer months but I managed to find an amazing pair for my easy days, when I can get away with a lighter coverage but I still want everything to stay put till night time. The Chantecaille Just Skin Moisturizer (57£) is a favourite of many bloggers but unfortunately never did it for me. I like the light formula and the coverage, but the dewy finish somehow, instead of giving a radiant appearance to my skin, makes tiny bumps and pores look worse. However when I mix it with the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint (29£) - kind of a tinted moisturizer version of my beloved Laura Mercier Silk crème - I get a flawless, demi-matte base that stays perfect for hours and doesn't feel too heavy. I've also been using the Pupa Like A Doll Cream Blush #201 (10£) non-stop since I bought it. This cream-to-powder coral blush is terribly flattering for my porcelain complexion and lasts really well throughout the hottest days. I simply buff it on my cheeks with my foundation brush, building the color slightly on the apples for a natural flush.

A couple of new additions to my nail polish collection include Madras Lime and Sarzil Mango from the And Other Stories Nail Color (6£) range. I'm loving wearing these two shades at the moment. The price is decent, the formula very good and the brush is the same amazing one featured by Dior and Essie Diffusion polishes. I wasn't overly impressed by the rest of the makeup range but these are definitely worth a look.
Finally, I had the chance to try the REVLON Colorstay Lip pencil in Nude (6.29£) on a job and I loved it so much I added it to my collection right away. It's the perfect mix of pink, brown and mauve therefore works well on many different skin tones. I'm actually seriously impressed by the Colorstay formula: it's opaque, long-lasting and doesn't feel drying on the lips.

Ondate di calore e giornate piene di impegni mi hanno costretta a ridurre la mia routine all'osso nelle ultime settimane, e a puntare sulla semplicità. Ecco i prodotti del mese di Luglio che sono sopravvissuti ai tagli.

Il REN Omega 3 Night Repair Serum (39€) non è solo uno dei miei preferiti del mese, ma potrebbe facilmente essere il mio siero preferito di sempre. Mai avrei creduto che un prodotto potesse spodestare l'Advanced Night Repair di Estee Lauder ma questo mi ha rubato il cuore fin dal primo utilizzo. La mia pelle migliora a vista d'occhio e sembra più piena, morbida ed idratata. E' come una notte di sonno in formato liquido ed il profumo di marmellata di frutta è da perdere la testa. Non sarà facile prendere il posto di questo siero. REN colpisce ancora e la voglia di provare tutto il resto della linea si fa sempre più forte.

Ultimamente la mia ossessione per il profumo di fico ha raggiunto livelli allarmanti e Dyptique Philosykos EDT (60€) è diventato immediatamente la mia fragranza preferita per l'estate. E' dolce e leggermente muschiata, e profuma come fichi maturi al sole. In passato tendevo a lasciar perdere i profumi nei mesi più caldi, ma Philosykos non è troppo prepotente ed è così fresco e leggero da sembrare quasi uno spray per il corpo.

Per quanto riguarda il makeup, la questione 'fondotinta' si fa spinosa durante i mesi estivi, però sono riuscita a trovare la coppia perfetta per tutti i giorni, quando mi basta una coprenza leggera ma ho bisogno comunque che la base resti perfetta a lungo. Il Chantecaille Just Skin Moisturizer (65€) è il preferito di molte blogger, d'oltremanica, ma purtroppo non mi ha mai convinta completamente. Amo la leggerezza della formula e la coprenza, ma il finish luminoso in qualche modo, invece di donare alla mia pelle un aspetto radioso, evidenzia pori e micro-imperfezioni, rendendoli molto più visibili. Però mischiandola con il Jouer Matte Moisture Tint (33€) - la versione crema colorata, ma quasi ugualmente coprente, ed opaca dell'amato Silk crème di Laura Mercier - si ottiene una base perfetta e satinata, che dura per ore e quasi non si sente sul viso. Da quando l'ho acquistato, ho utilizzato il Pupa Like A Doll Cream Blush #201 (11.90€) tutti i giorni. Questo blush dal finish cream-to-powder dona moltissimo alla mia carnagione chiara e resiste anche alle giornate più afose. Lo applico sulle guance con il pennello del fondotinta, insistendo sullo zigomo per un effetto rossore naturale.

Madras Lime e Sarzil Mango della linea And Other Stories Nail Color (7€) sono due delle più recenti aggiunte alla mia collezione di smalti. Sto adorando queste tonalità ultimamente e nell'ultimo mese praticamente non ho indossato altro. Il prezzo è discreto, la formula molto buona ed il pennello applicatore è lo stesso degli smalti Dior ed Essie Diffusion. Il resto della linea makeup non mi ha colpita particolarmnete, ma gli smalti valgono senz'altro un'occhiata.
Infine, durante un lavoro, ho provato la REVLON Colorstay Lip pencil in Nude (12€) e mi è piaciuta così tanto che l'ho subito aggiunta alla mia collezione. E' il mix perfetto di marrone, rosa e malva, e quindi funziona su diverse carnagioni ed è quasi identica al colore delle mie labbra. La formula Colorstay mi ha molto colpita: il tratto è saturo, dura a lungo e non secca le labbra.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused // Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti Blemish Mask // Living Proof Prime Style Extender // Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance // NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer // Hydraluron Moisture Booster

Even if I love testing out new products, I'm a creature of habit and I don't easily venture too far from my usual skincare and makeup products for my everyday routine. However during April I discovered some amazing bits that sneaked their way into my makeup bag from the very first use.

My favourite of the favourites has to be the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused. I'm trying really hard to write a review that says more than OMGYOUNEEDTHIS! but I'm miserably failing. The finish this powder gives is truly amazing: it's like a benevolent soft focus light that hits your face in all the right places while blurring pores and brightening the complexion. I've tried it over many foundations, even a mineral one, and the result was gorgeous every time.

And of course being so fond of my glowy skin I had to include my go-to primer in this post. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance is my primer of choice under every foundation. The slightly peachy toned cream counteracts tiredness and dullness, while blurring pores and imperfection and of course making foundation last all day. A must have for radiance lovers.

Skincare wise the Hydraulon Moisture Booster has done miracle for my skin tone. This serum hydrates the skin below the surface and locks the moisture in so the skin appears plumper and softer and makeup applies more smoothly and lasts longer. Among other benefits, deeply hydrated skin heals faster; in a handful of days my complexion looked so much better, more even and with less blemishes and scars. As an instant gratification enthusiast, I really appreciate products that make a huge difference in short time like this one.
And speaking of quick fix products, I've been loving the Living Proof Prime Style Extender to pieces. It's a primer for your hair that extends the life of hair sets and enhances the effect of other styling products. My hair felt smoother and looked shinier from the very first use. They're also less sensitive to humidity and hold the style so much better: before Prime Style Extender my curls barely lived to see the end of the day but with this they lasted almost three days, saving me a lot of trouble. I suppose we could say 'where have you been all my life?'

The Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti Blemish Mask is the newest addition to my rescue team. It's a fast-acting clay mask that threats quick and efficiently those sore lumps that linger under the skin for days. Like all Aesop products is jam packed with good ingredients that calm redness, reduces the swelling and draws all impurities to the surface to avoid future comebacks.

Last but not least another amazing concealer find. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is such a great product: it's a concealer packed with skincare actives to repair imperfections while correcting them. It's really something you want to see in person but the finish is so radiant and glowy and the texture is soft and easy to build and blend. The satin finish brings light to the under eye area in a very believable way. I absolutely love it!

Anche se adoro testare nuovi prodotti, sono una creature abitudinaria e per la mia routine di tutti i giorni è difficile che mi discosti da quei prodotti di skincare e makeup che utilzzo più spesso in favore di qualcosa di nuovo. Comunque nel mese di Aprile ho scoperto prodotti davvero interessanti che si sono fatti spazio nella mia trousse dopo un solo utilizzo.

Il preferito tra i preferiti del mese deve essere per forza la cipria Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder nella tonalità Diffused. Mi sto impegnando a mettere insieme una review degna di questo nome che vada oltre il OMMIODDIOCOMPRATELA! ma sono in difficoltà. Non è facile descrivere l'effetto di questa polvere: è come avere una luce benevola puntata sul viso che fa risaltare solo i punti giusti e nel frattempo minimizza i pori e le imperfezioni e dona luce al viso. L'ho provata su diversi fondotinta, persino su uno in polvere minerale, ed il risultato è stato ogni volta incredibile.

E naturalmente visto che amo l'effetto luminoso, come non citare un vecchio amore che però utilizzo tutti i giorni. Il Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance è il primer che applico immancabilmente prima di ogni fondotinta. La base dal tono color pesca contrasta il grigiore e l'aspetto opaco ed allo stesso tempo rende pori ed imperfezioni meno visibili ed ovviamente fa durare il fondotinta più a lungo. Un must per tutte le amanti del finish radioso.

Per quanto riguarda la cura della pelle il siero Hydraulon Moisture Booster ha fatto meraviglie per il mio incarnato. Il siero idrata in profondità, al di sotto della superficie, ed allo stesso tempo agisce da scudo per impedire che la pelle perda idratazione lungo la giornata, così che appaia più soda e morbida ed il makeup si applichi meglio e restista più a lungo. Tra gli altri benefici c'è senz'altro un più rapido rinnovamento cellulare; in una manciata di giorni il colorito è diventato più uniforme e cicatrici ed imperfezioni sono quasi scomparse. Da amante della gratificazione istantanea, apprezzo moltissimo questi prodotti che offrono risultati visibili ed immediati come questo.
E sempre parlando di prodotti ad effetto rapido, sto amando tantissimo il Living Proof Prime Style Extender. Si tratta di un primer per capelli che prolunga la durata della piega e massimizza gli effetti di altri prodotti di styling. I miei capelli sembravano più lucidi e soffici già dopo la prima applicazione. Sono inoltre meno sensibili all'umidità e tengono la piega infinitamente più a lungo: prima i ricci duravano a stento  fino a sera mentre con il Prime Styler Extender resistono addirittura 3 giorni, risparmiandomi un sacco di fastidi. Dove sei stato per tutta la mia vita, dico io.

L'Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti Blemish Mask è l'ultima aggiunta alla mia squadra di pronto intervento. E' una maschera d'argilla ad azione rapida che tratta velocemente e con efficacia quei tremendi brufoli sottopelle che resistono imperterriti per giorni - quelli che fanno male quando si parla, avete presente? -. Come tutti i prodotti Aesop è un mix di ingredienti naturali e che fanno bene alla pelle, che calmano il dolore, riducono il rossore e portano tutte le impurità in superficie onde evitare che l'imperfezione si riproponga in futuro.

Ultimo ma non meno importante un'altro favoloso correttore scoperto di recente. Il NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer è davvero un ottimo prodotto: contiene attivi rigeneranti che curano occhiaie e rughette mentre le correggono. L'effetto sarebbe da vedere dal vivo ma è radioso e luminoso e la texture è morbida e facile da sfumare e stratificare per ottenere il livello di coprenza desiderato. Il finish satinato porta luce alla zona perioculare in un modo molto credibile e naturale. Lo adoro!

I couldn't think of a better way to begin with my New Year resolutions... After a little hiatus, my monthly favorites are finally back!

ANTIPODES Avocado pear nourishing night cream

Hands down the best night cream I've ever tried. Buttery and deeply nourishing, but absolutely not greasy even if contains pure avocado oil. The smell is gorgeous and so soothing, perfect for night time. I could write poems and songs about this product. Definitely my number one favorite this month!

ANTIPODES Kiwi seed oil eye cream
I pined over this eye cream in my previous skincare wishlist post and I really couldn't wait to try it. It's perfect for the colder months because is rich but the formula it's very light weight and comfortable to wear as well, even under makeup. It's also really good for the skin thanks to its natural ingredients. I think I got it bad for the New Zealander organic brand.

NARS Sheer glow foundation

My all time favorite foundation. When the weather gets colder I find myself reaching for it more often than not. I like to apply it with my fingers for a natural finish or with a buffing brush if I want to go full coverage for a night out or just a bad skin day, when I don't want to bother with concealer.

OPI Skyfall nail polish

Such an elegant and timeless shade and definitely a fall/winter staple. It's a dark red with a hint of brick brown. The formula is amazing, opaque in just to coats and quite long lasting. I was surprise to see that there's nothing quite like it in my collection. The brown hues make it quite unique.

ARMANI Eyes to kill eyeshadow quartet 04 Effeto nudo

(Full review here.) During the Holiday season I'm partial to red lipsticks. I still like a nice defined eye makeup tho, but not too in-your-face so it doesn't compete with the bold lips. Effeto nudo has been my go-to palette for the whole month; it's so easy to use and the lovely creamy texture totally rocks my socks off every.single.time.

OCC Lip tar Super NSFW 

An impulse buy for the Holidays. Super NSFW is a gorgeous slightly blue-ish red with metallic gold hues. Somehow, despite the metallic finish, is not too over the top and I think I'll be able to wear it a lot, even after the end of the Holidays season. The formula is crazy: insanely pigmented, long lasting, fully opaque in one coat. Simply stunning. I need to put my hands on more shades ASAP.

OCC Skin concealer

One of the best concealers I've ever tried. Almost full coverage but with the most natural finish and quite long lasting, even if I still need to set it under my eyes. Beautiful, beautiful texture. A more in depth review will be coming soon.

Non potevo trovare un modo migliore per mantenere i miei propositi del nuovo anno... Dopo una piccola pausa di qualche mese i miei prodotti preferiti sono tornati!

ANTIPODES Avocado pear nourishing night cream

Senza dubbio la migliore crema notte di sempre. Burrosa ed incredibilmente idratante ma non unta, nonostante la presenza di molti oli tra cui quello di avocado. La profumazione è favolosa e così calmante, perfetta per conciliare il sonno. Potrei scrivere sonetti e canzoni su questo prodotto. Decisamente il mio preferito tra i preferiti del mese!

ANTIPODES Kiwi seed oil eye cream
Ho ricamato su questa crema occhi nel mio post sulla mia wishlist di prodotti skincare e l'ho acquistata alla prima occasione. E' perfetta per i mesi più freddi perchè è molto ricca, ma la formula è comunque leggera e si può utilizzare tranquillamente anche sotto al trucco. Si sente che è nutriente, grazie soprattutto agli ingredienti completamente naturali. Insomma, mi sono presa una bella cotta per il marchio naturale Neo Zelandese. Vorrei provare tutto!

NARS Sheer glow foundation

Il mio fondotinta preferito di sempre. Non appena le giornate si sono raffreddate l'ho rispolverato e l'ho utilizzato quasi tutti i giorni del mese. Mi piace applicarlo con le dita per un effetto naturale oppure con un pennello denso se ho bisogno di una base a coprenza totale per una serata importante o quando la mia pelle sta avendo una giornata no e non ho voglia di fare troppa fatica con il correttore.

OPI Skyfall nail polish

Un colore elegante e senza tempo e decisamente perfetto per la stagione autunno/inverno. E' un rosso scuro con una punta di mattone. La formula è incredibile, opaca in 2 passate e di ottima durata. Con mia grande sorpresa non ho trovato niente di simile all'interno della mia collezione. Quel tocco di marrone lo rende uno smalto unico.

ARMANI Eyes to kill eyeshadow quartet 04 Effeto nudo

(Recensione completa qui.) Durante il periodo natalizio ed in inverno in generale tendo ad indossare rossetti dai colori forti ed in particolare i rossi. Mi piace comunque accoppiarli ad un trucco occhi ricco e definito, anche se non troppo esagerato così che non competa con un trucco labbra importante. Per questo ho utilizzato Effeto nudo per quasi tutto il mese di dicembre: i colori sono così facili da utilizzare e la texture cremosa delle polveri mi colpisce al cuore ogni.singola.volta.

OCC Lip tar Super NSFW 

Un acquisto d'impulso per le Feste. Super NSFW è un bellissimo rosso con una lieve base blu ed una tinta dorata ad effetto metallizzato. In qualche modo, nonostante il finish metallico, non è affatto esagerato e credo che riuscirò ad indossarlo anche nella vita di tutti i giorni con qualche accortezza. La formula è da far girare la testa: follemente pigmentata, a lunga durata e coprente in una sola passata. Semplicemente favoloso. Devo mettere le mani su altri colori al più presto.

OCC Skin concealer

Uno dei correttori migliori che abbia mai provato. La coprenza è quasi totale ma il finish è assolutamente naturale. La durata è ottima, anche se serve comunque della polvere fissante perchè non si accumuli nelle pieghette intorno agli occhi. Una texture davvero fantastica. Presto una review più approfondita.

This summer is seriously going super fast, I can’t believe it - I’m not complaining too much though, I’m more of a winter girl and because of the amazing Fall collections coming out these days I’m getting really excited for the cooler season -.
Anyways, it’s already time for my monthly favorites:

 

 

Once again I stripped my makeup routine to the bones to stand a chance against humidity and reached for long lasting and waterproof products. Setting sprays and beauty waters helped a lot to cool down my skin and keep everything in place, but I’ll talk about those in a different post.

MAC MSF Light year
Unfortunately this was limited edition with the Heavenly creatures collection. It’s an absolutely gorgeous light apricot shade with golden shimmer.  I'm pale enough to wear it as a blush and thanks to the multidimensional shimmer I don't need to wear an additional highlighter. Shimmer blushes are not for everyone but Summer feels like the perfect time to step out of my comfort zone, and I'm really enjoying the result.

My brush of choice to apply mineralize skin finishes and powders with heavy sparkle in general: it’s large and fluffy so you can easily get rid of the extra glitters and blend blend blend at the same time to achieve a fairly natural look.

NUXE Reve de miel lip balm
I already did a full review of this product here, so I won’t talk too much about it. Still my favourite lip balm at the moment. It feels pampering and luxurious and works best as a base for lipglosses and tinted lip balms - those are the only lip products I can wear, apparently even lipsticks make me sweat -.

Bobbi Brown Skin foundation spf15 

I almost forgot how much I like this foundation and what a good match for my skin tone it is. It looks and feel like skin and lasts for a fairly decent amount of time even in the hotter days with just a tin layer of powder on the T zone. And thanks to the yellow undertone it counteracts redness with no need for extra concealer.

SigmaX F84 Angled top kabuki 

I'm a big fan of the SigmaX line and this is probably my favourite out of the face brushes bunch. The special bristles work wonderfully with any formula and the angle allows you to really buff and blend the foundation in all the hard-to-reach places. It also washes a little better than the other denser brushes of the line which is always a nice extra.

Laura Mercier Metallic crème eye colour in Alloy
These LM cream shadows are incredibly good. A little goes a long way, they’re easy to apply and set waterproof. Alloy here is a mauve-ish shimmery taupe. I like to buff it with a fluffy blush like the 217 and work in layers to achieve a simple yet gorgeous smokey eye that won't budge during the day.

L'estate sta veramente scorrendo alla velocità della luce, quasi non ci credo - non che mi stia lamentando, eh? Ho sempre preferito la stagione fredda e tutte le collezioni autunnali in uscita in questi giorni mi rendono solo più insofferente al caldo e più eccitata per l'autunno -.
Comunque, è di nuovo il momento per i miei prodotti preferiti per il mese di luglio:

Anche il mese scorso ho ridotto il trucco al minimo per avere qualche possibilità contro il caldo umido di Milano ed ho fatto ricorso a prodotti a lunga durata e waterproof. Spray fissanti ed acque di bellezza sono state d'aiuto per rinfrescare e far restare tutto al suo poso, ma ne parlerò più approfonditamente in un altro post. 

MAC MSF Light year
Sfortunatamente questo MSF era un'edizione limitata della collezione Heavenly creatures. E' un albicocca chiaro con iridescenza dorata. Visto che sono pallidina posso indossarlo come blush e grazie alla tridimensionalità donata dallo shimmer posso evitare l'illuminante. I blush con glitter non sono per tutti, ma l'estate sembra il momento giusto per provare cose nuove ed il risultato mi sta piacendo veramente tantissimo.

Il pennello che utilizzo per applicare i mineralize skin finish e tutte le polveri con un'alta concentrazione di glitter: viste le dimensioni importanti e le setole vaporose è più facile eliminare la maggior parte dei glitter e sfumare sfumare sfumare allo stesso tempo, per ottenere un effetto quasi naturale.

NUXE Reve de miel lip balm
Ho già fatto una review completa di questo prodotto qui, quindi non mi dilungherò più di tanto. E' il mio balsamo labbra preferito del momento. E' lussuoso e sembra quasi un trattamento spa, ed è perfetto per preparare le labbra all'applicazione di gloss e balsami colorati - gli unici prodotti che riesco ad utilizzare al momento, persino il rossetto mi fa sudare -. 

Bobbi Brown Skin foundation spf15 

Mi ero quasi dimenticata di quanto amassi questo fondotinta e soprattutto di quanto il colore fosse adatto al mio incarnato. Leggerissimo e dal look naturale, resiste abbastanza bene alle alte temperature ed all'umidità con poca polvere sulla zona T. E grazie al sottotono giallo contrasta il rossore senza bisogno di correttore extra. 

SigmaX F84 Angled top kabuki 

Sono una fan della linea SigmaX e questo è probabilmente il mio preferito tra i pennelli viso. Le setole speciali permettono di lavorare alla perfezione ogni texture ed il taglio angolato permette di raggiungere anche i punti più difficili. Tra l'altro non essendo denso come gli altri pennelli della linea, è anche più facile da lavare ed asciuga più in fretta.

Laura Mercier Metallic crème eye colour in Alloy
Questi ombretti in crema di LM sono a dir poco fantastici. Ne serve una quantità minima, sono facili da applicare ed una volta asciutti sono waterproof. Alloy nella foto è un talpa-malva iridescente. Lo applico con un pennello vaporoso come il 217 per sfumarlo bene e lavorare in strati sottili per creare un semplice smokey eye che dura fino a sera.
