001 Although I currently own enough cream blushes coming out of my eyeballs, the Stila Color Me Pretty Lip & Cheek Palette (£19.50) looks like a must have for any blush fiend, like yours truly here. I already dipped my paws in a couple of shades and I really love the moisturizing formula and the dewy, healthy glow it gives to the skin.

002 After years spent obsessing over perfectly smooth and straight locks, lately I've been enjoying a grungier, effortless look and lots and lots of volume. Of course it's not a serious big hair-talk if it doesn't involve Bumble & Bumble and two of their best-selling products: The Tousled Two Step Gift Set (£27) features the phenomenal Bb. Texture (starting from £10) and a special edition size of the Thickening Hairspray (from £7.50), another favourite of mine. A great value for money and two of the products I can't leave without in one gift set? I'm in!

003 Chilly weather and snowfalls in November set my dry skin-alarm off. Better suit up and include one of the Clarins Face Treatment Oils (£30) in my skincare routine. I have my eyes on the Blue Orchid one, specifically created to fix dehydrated skin and fight dullness and lack of radiance.

004 I seriously can't wait to put my mitts on the gel version of my favourite nail polish of all time. I've seen many rave reviews about how awesome the Nails Inc. Gel Effect Polish (£14) in Porchester square is and frankly I'm curious to find out how one of the best polishes on the market has been improved.

005 If you read my previous post about my monthly favourites, you'll know how much I'm loving my Wayne Goss brushes. Just a few days ago the Limited Edition Christmas Brush (£50) popped up on Love-makeup, looking uber soft and oh so fluffy; it had me weak at the knees right away and I'm already dreaming to pet it like the softest kitten. I do have issues, I know.

006 Apparently the new Shu Uemura S curler (£20) isn't just the cutest curler on the market; it's also great to squeeze natural lashes into the fake ones so they look perfectly blended, and to curl even the shortest inner and outer lashes. And if the ultimate curl wasn't a good enough reason to lust, this super cute limited edition Takahashi Murakami charm shattered that bit of reluctance I may have had. I need it.

001 Anche se al mio cassetto dei blush manca tanto così per esplodere, la Stila Color Me Pretty Lip & Cheek Palette (€26) sembra proprio un must per le fanatiche di blush in crema, come la sottoscritta. Ho già provato un paio di tonalità e adoro la formula idratante, la luminosità e l'effetto quasi bagnato che donano alle guance.

002 Dopo anni passati a rincorrere il liscio perfetto, ultimamente ho cominciato ad apprezzare uno stile più grungy e disordinato, a tutto volume. Ovviamente non si può parlare di chiome voluminose senza menzionare Bumble & Bumble e due dei loro prodotti best-seller: The Tousled Two Step Gift Set (€32) contiene il fenomenale Bb. Texture (a partire da €12) ed una taglia speciale di Thickening Hairspray (from €9), un altro dei miei preferiti. Un affarone e due dei miei prodotti preferiti nella stessa confezione regalo? Ci sto!

003 Vento freddo e nevicate in Novembre hanno fatto scattare il mio allarme-pelle secca. Meglio correre subito ai ripari ed includere nella mia routine uno dei Clarins Face Treatment Oils (€34.95). Ho messo gli occhi sulla versione con Orchidea Blu, specifica per pelli disidratate e per contrastare i grigiori invernali ed il colorito opaco.

004 Non vedo l'ora di provare la versione in gel del mio smalto preferito di sempre. Ho letto tantissime review entusiastiche a proposito del Nails Inc. Gel Effect Polish (€17) in Porchester square e sono curiosa di scoprire come la formula, già fantastica di suo, sia stata addirittura migliorata.

005 Se avete letto il mio ultimo post sui preferiti del mese, saprete quanto sto adorando i miei pennelli Wayne Goss. Pochi giorni fa su Love-makeup ha fatto capolino il nuovo Limited Edition Christmas Brush (€60), che dalle foto sembrerebbe morbidissimo e soffice come un cucciolo; già sogno di accarezzarlo come un gattino in stile cattivo dei film di James Bond. Ho dei problemi, lo so.

006 A quanto pare il nuovo Shu Uemura S curler (€24) non è solo il piegaciglia più carino sul mercato; è anche perfetto per piegare le ciglia finte e mescolarle alla perfezione con quelle naturali, e per curvare le ciglia più corte nell'angolo esterno ed interno. E se la piega perfetta non fosse un motivo sufficiente per mettere mano al portafoglio, quel delizioso charm in edizione limitata firmato Takahashi Murakami mi ha tolto ogni dubbio. Lo devo avere.

The Event: LUSH Christmas 2013 Preview

Some of us can't decide what to have for lunch, like yours truly here, and some, like LUSH's little helpers, are already all geared up and ready for Christmas. A week ago I popped along to LUSH headquarters for a sneak peek at the upcoming Holiday collection and I got the chance to play with some of the amazing products that will go on sale in the next few hours.

LUSH's one is a-go-big-or-go-home kind of Christmas, with almost 40 wonderful gifts and tons of brand new product as well as some welcome returns. First of all one of my personal favourites, the uber popular Let the good times roll cleanser. If you haven't tried it last year, you missed all the fun, let me tell you. It's a fantastic cleanser, perfect for dry skin but everyone can use it really; and it smells like sweet popcorns and vanilla cake. If this doesn't make you want to pop into a store right away, I don't know what else will.

Another favourite of mine, the sweet and creamy almond-scented Snowcake soap, is making a comeback along with Golden wonder bath ballistic, a must have for glitter lovers and citrus scent fiends. Tangerine lovers will be happy to see Father Christmas bath ballistic back in store and the ones that love glitters and sweet scents will go crazy for Snow Fairy shower gel and its friends: the distinctive bubblegum scent will be also available as bubble bar - Candy Mountain and Magic Wand - and as glitter packed massage bar - Snow Fairy Sparkle -.
Among the new products my favourites are for sure the adorable Christmas Penguin bubble bar, which will fill your bath of a ton of soft light blue bubbles, and Secret Santa bath bomb that mimics the wonderful LUSH shop's scent.

C'è chi, come la sottoscritta, non sa ancora cosa mangerà a pranzo e chi, come LUSH, a settembre è già pronto per il Natale. La scorsa settimana ho avuto il piacere di partecipare all'evento/preview della collezione natalizia proprio nella sede centrale di LUSH qui a Milano, e pasticciare un po' con vecchie conoscenze e grandi novità.

L'idea alla base della collezione natalizia è quella di creare prodotti in tema con le feste ma con le profumazioni della linea permanente, così che chi riceve uno dei regali LUSH possa provare ed apprezzare queste coccole in edizione limitata e riscoprire in seguito le stesse profumazioni nei saponi e bagni doccia disponibili tutto l'anno. Così per esempio nasce Rimpinguin, uno spumante da bagno dalla simpatica forma di pinguino e al profumo di Mediterraneo, che si dissolve nell'acqua in morbidissime bolle idratanti.

Con quasi 40 confezioni regalo, tra buffe scatole iper colorate e pacchetti incartati con romantiche carte da pacco vecchio stile c'è solo l'imbarazzo della scelta. Come sempre ci sono alcune novità e molti graditissimi ritorni. Primo fra tutti l'amatissimo cleanser Maisenza a base di farina di polenta e pop corn e dall'indimenticabile profumo di torta, che ci ha lasciati orfani lo scorso anno con il finire della stagione delle feste. Questa volta vi consiglio di fare scorta e riporre un paio di barattoli in freezer, come ho fatto io l'anno scorso, per non sentire troppo la mancanza del Natale in primavera. Ancora, tornano Biancaneve - il mio sapone preferito di sempre al latte di mandorla - e Ti Adoro, la ballistica delle feste per eccellenza a forma di pacchetto dorato; Faccia da Babbo all'essenza di mandarino e con un divertente cuore verde e Fate Voi, il popolarissimo gel doccia delle fate al profumo di caramella, a cui si affiancano l'omonimo spumante ed un olio brillantinato per il corpo a forma di fatina per serate davvero magiche.

Tra le novità, Il Casino Delle Feste, una ballistica gigante con sorpresa, creata a grande richiesta con il profumo inconfondibile della bottega LUSH, e Fun d'oro, un Fun in edizione limitata al profumo di Non si mangia tutto coperto di brillantini dorati.
E per prepararsi ai baci sotto il vischio, ecco Santa's Lip Scrub al dolce sapore di datteri ed amarene e con caramelle scoppiettanti a forma di cuore, e Santa Baby la tinta labbra rossa come il Natale, che mi ha rubato il cuore per il colore intenso e la durata incredibile.

I miei preferiti sono senza dubbio il pinguino Rimpinguin, il Casino delle Feste e la tinta Santa Baby, ma farei davvero fatica a trovare qualcosa non di mio gusto in mezzo a tutte queste meraviglie.

The cheetah nail wraps were a little out of my comfort zone but I got so many compliments when I wore them, even from my dad that rarely notices my nails. They're not so hard to put on and last a pretty decent time before the edges start to lift (the picture was taken on day two and they still looked pretty good; not bad for my first try). They can be cut to size and you get enough for a whole manicure plus a couple of accents.

I can't wait for the right occasion to sport the lace Eye tattoo, and even if black eyeliner is pretty simple to do once you nailed the technique, the liner sheet is like a ready-to-slap-on emergency kit to keep in a drawer for a last minute occasion. Always ready, like the Marines.

Anche questi si possono tagliare per adattarli alla forma dell'unghia e nella confezione ce ne sono abbastanza per una manicure completa ed un paio di accents.
Aspetto solo la giusta occasione per sfoggiare i tatuaggi effetto pizzo che vanno così tanto di moda ultimamente, e anche se l'eyeliner nero è piuttosto basic mi piace l'idea di un kit di emergenza da tenere nel cassetto per gli inviti dell'ultimo minuto. Sempre pronti, come i Marines.

Gift ideas: L'Occitane Delightful almond collection

I've been a fan of L'Occitane products for a while now. I don't know how many times I repurchased the Lavender hand cream and the Almond shower oil is one of the best products I discovered this year (I'm on the second bottle right now!). Their skincare products can be quite expensive tho, so I was really excited for the Holiday gift sets and when I saw what a good deal this set was I ran out to pick mine. I couldn't risk missing out on this one.

 L'Occitane Delightful almond collection £48/€49

Inside the Delightful almond collection you'll find two Almond delicious soaps with crushed almonds for a delicate scrub, the luxurious 100ml Almond milk concentrate for the body, a 50ml Delicious paste to exfoliate in the shower, a 30ml Almond smooth hand cream and the best selling 500ml Almond shower oil, all nicely packed in a gorgeous Christmas box. The gift is worth £71 but you only pay £48. Not bad, uh?

The almond scent is very unique in these: it's not the creamy, milky almond scent we're used to, but a fresher version of it; there's something sour-ish in the background, a hint of green apple I think, to counteract the sweetness. It's really lovely.
I love the lavender hand cream for the night but I think the almond scented one might now be my favorite of the line for everyday use. The smell is simply delicious, it's addicting! The shower oil is wonderful: leaves the skin so soft and nourished and is also a great shaving oil. Definitely a must have for every skincare addict. And I'm glad I got to try awesome products like the exfoliating paste and the Milk concentrate that otherwise I wouldn't have considered.

I think this would be a great gift for anyone really, but it would make any almond lover very happy. Personally I'd love to find something like this under my Christmas tree.

Sono una fan dei prodotti L'Occitane da un po' ormai. Non so più quante volte ho ricomprato la crema mani alla Lavanda, e l'olio doccia alla Mandorla è una delle migliori scoperte di quest'anno (sono già alla seconda bottiglia!). Alcuni dei loro prodotti sono abbastanza costosi però, per cui ho atteso con ansia le scatole natalizie ed appena sono arrivate in bottega sono corsa ad acquistare questa per essere sicura di non perdermela.

Nel cofanetto Amande troverete una saponetta con polvere di gusci di mandorla per uno scrub delicato, una taglia da 100ml del lussuoso Concentrato di latte di mandorla per il corpo, un barattolino da 50ml della pasta esfoliante alla mandorla, un tubetto da 7ml di crema mani ed un full size da 250ml del famoso olio doccia alla Mandorla, il tutto contenuto in una bellissima scatola natalizia. Il valore complessivo dei prodotti è di €57 ma il gift set costa €49. Non male, anche se speravo in un risparmio maggiore.

La profumazione è davvero unica: non si tratta della tipica fragranza cremosa di mandorle a cui siamo abituati, ma di una versione più fresca; c'è un sottofondo asprigno, mela verde credo, che contrasta la dolcezza. E' davvero adorabile.
La crema mani alla lavanda è l'ultimo step della mia routine prima di coricarmi, ma credo proprio che la versione alla mandorla diventarà la mia preferita per tutti i giorni. Il profumo è celestiale, causa dipendenza! L'olio doccia è meraviglioso: lascia la pelle morbida e nutrita ed è anche un fantastico olio per rasatura. Un must have per tutte le amanti dei prodotti per la cura delle pelle. E sono contenta di aver potuto provare prodotti come la pasta esfoliante ed il Concentrato di latte di mandorla, che altrimenti non avrei preso in considerazione.

Credo che sarebbe un regalo perfetto per chiunque in tutta onestà, ma farebbe la gioia di una qualunque amante delle mandorle. Personalmente adorerei trovare qualcosa del genere sotto l'albero.

L'Occitane ha messo insieme una favolosa selezione di regali quest'anno, tutti impacchettati in graziose scatole oppure in piccoli catini di metallo. C'è solo l'imbarazzo della scelta. Date un'occhiata al sito, sono sicura che troverete qualcosa per le vostre tasche. After years of honorable service, I decided to dismiss those beloved, old calendars full of chocolate and chubby cherubs, and bring the thing to a whole new level. No more Santa shaped pralines for me, but wee baby bottles with tiny ribbons, cause, as Ciaté remind us, a nail polish a day keeps the doctor away. Ancient wisdom, you guys. See for yourself.

Somewhere behind the 24 doors there are 17 best selling mini paint pots - I spotted a double in the preview on the back, but I can't really complain for extra cookies and cream, especially when it's cold outside -, 4 mini caviar pearls blends and 3 mysterious shades made exclusively for this gift.
With this calendar I probably gave the death blow to my let's-not-buy anymore-nail-polishes New Year resolution, but my figure will definitely thank me.

Dopo anni di onorato servizio, quest'anno ho deciso di mandare in pensione i cari vecchi calendari pieni di cioccolatini ed angioletti cicciottelli e tirare fuori l'artiglieria pesante. Niente più praline a forma di Babbi Natale sorridenti per me, ma graziose baby bottigliette infiocchettate, perchè, come ci ricorda Ciaté, uno smalto al giorno toglie il medico di torno. Perle di antica saggezza, ragazze. Provare per credere.

Da qualche parte dietro ai 24 sportellini si nascondono 17 mini paint pots scelti tra le tonalità più vendute - nella preview sul retro ho avvistato un doppione, ma non posso veramente lamentarmi per extra
cookies and cream, soprattutto quando le temperature si abbassano -, 4 mix di perline per la famosa caviar manicure e 3 tonalità misteriose ed esclusive, create apposta per questo set.
Con il calendario credo di aver dato il colpo di grazia definitivo al mio proposito di inizio d'anno che puntava a limitare al minimo la mia shopping mania per gli smalti, ma almeno la linea ringrazia.
Ecco, concentriamoci sui lati positivi.

Il Mini mani month al momento è sold out dappertutto tranne che sul sito Ciaté UK, che tra l'altro offre il 10% di sconto sul primo acquisto, ma spese di spedizione abbastanza esorbitanti. Per pochissimo è stato disponibile su QVC e non sembrano intenzionati a riassortire; e per le più temerarie c'è sempre eBay.

Gift ideas: TBS Ginger sparkle shower, scrub & moisture collection

I said it and I did it. I bought myself an early Christmas present. Woo hoo.
Guess what, patience is not my middle name. I had to get my fill of gingerbread men as soon as the Holiday collection hit the online store and along with the full size body butter, I picked what in my opinion is the pièce de résistance of the Ginger Sparkle collection.

TheBodyShop Ginger Sparkle Shower, Scrub & Moisture Collection £15/€24

The Ginger Sparkle shower, scrub & moisture set includes a full size 250ml shower gel, a 75ml body polish, a 50ml body butter and a cute little 40g soap bar, all safely packed in a gorgeous tin box shaped like a gingerbread man cookie. To be completely honest I picked this kit instead of the individual products mainly for the reusable tin box that I plan to fill with all kind of Christmas candies and goodies and put on display on my kitchen table. I'm a sucker for cute packagings, le sigh.

The gingerbread scent is to die for, warm and refreshing at the same time, with spicy notes and a candied feeling in the background that reminds me of the happy cola gummy candies. It's the most unisex scent between the Christmas ones and a real boost of festive mood, even if it'll work well across the seasons.
The soap free shower gel is very gentle on the skin and lathers well, especially when used with a loofah; leaves a light gingerbread scent on the skin that lasts for some time without being too intrusive.
The body polish is perfect for quick everyday exfoliation: the crushed walnut shells gently scrub the skin while the gel foams a little, leaving the skin baby soft and smooth. The smell was very strong in the shower but I couldn't sense it on my skin afterwards.
The body butter is creamier and less thick than the Vineyard peach one I previously reviewed; the lighter formula will work well on all skin types, melting on the skin and keeping it deeply hydrated for 24h without greasiness. The butter has the most lingering scent, it's like walking in a candied ginger cloud all day; I love putting my lounge-around-the-house-clothes on in the morning and get a whiff of the gingerbread scent.
Finally, the soap is a nice extra treat, perfect to keep near the sink to instantly refresh the zingy ginger scent on your hands or even have a quick hand scrub thanks to the ground walnut shells.

Kits like this one are a great way to approach TBS range without breaking the bank and the tin box is simply adorable; but if you're looking for something a little cheaper, maybe for a Secret Santa gift or as stocking filler, be sure to browse the gift section on the website, cause there's something for every budget, from the butter up duos, perfect to hang on the Christmas tree, to the super cute pudding sponge or the Very merry mirror.

Detto, fatto. Mi sono fatta una autoregalo di Natale con largo anticipo. Woo hoo.
Chi l'avrebbe mai detto, pazienza non è il mio secondo nome. Ho dovuto fare il pieno di omini di pan di zenzero nel momento stesso in cui la collezione natalizia è comparsa nello store online e, insieme al burro corpo full size, mi sono regalata il pezzo forte della linea Zenzero brioso.

Il Regalo medium Zenzero brioso contiene gel doccia full size da 250ml, doccia esfoliante da 75ml, mini burro corpo da 50ml ed una piccola saponetta da 40g, il tutto racchiuso in una fantastica scatola di latta riutiulizzabile a forma di biscottone di pan di zenzero. Se non si fosse capito, la scatola è la ragione principale della scelta del set invece dei prodotti singoli: già me la vedo piena di caramelle e delizie natalizie in bella mostra sul tavolo della cucina. Non so resistere ad una bella confezione, le sigh.

La profumazione è una meraviglia, calda e briosa allo stesso tempo, con note speziate ed un sentore caramellato sull sfondo, che mi ricorda le caramelle gommose a forma di coca cola. E' la fragranza più unisex tra quelle proposte per le festività ed una vera e propria iniezione di atmosfera natalizia, anche se è adatta a tutte le stagioni.
Il gel doccia privo di sapone è delicato sulla pelle e fa molta schiuma, soprattutto se utilizzato con una luffa; si lascia alle spalle un delicato velo profumato allo zenzero che dura per qualche ora senza essere troppo opprimente.
L'esfoliante doccia è perfetto per un veloce scrub quotidiano: i gusci di noce tritati esfoliano delicatamente mentre la schiuma leggera lascia la pelle liscia e vellutata. Il profumo è abbastanza forte nella doccia ma non lascia residui sulla pelle asciutta.
Il burro è più cremoso e meno denso di quello aromatizzato alla Pesca della vignache ho recensito in precedenza; la formula più leggera è perfetta per tutti i tipi di pelle, si assorbe subito ed idrata per 24 ore. Il burro corpo è il prodotto dalla profumazione più persistente: è un po' come essere avvolti da una nuvola di zenzero caramellato che dura tutto il giorno; adoro indossare i vestiti da casa al mattino e sentirne ancora il profumo.
Infine la saponetta è un extra piacevole, perfetto da tenere vicino al lavandino per rinfrescare la profumazione o persino per un veloce scrub alle mani, visto che contiene anch'essa gusci di noce tritati.

One month and a half to Christmas and I'm practically bouncing off the walls! Have you started thinking about what to buy to your loved ones yet? Hating rushed gifts and last minute purchases, I already started browsing Christmas cathalogs and the gift sections of my favorite websites to find the perfect presents for everyone. And it's not like I can't stop wanting stuff for myself as well, right? Better give Santa more options, says with a serious face.

001 Burt's bees is a brand I became somewhat obsessed with over the past weeks. I didn't have the chance to go shopping for it yet, but I've been browsing the internet looking for good value sets, which are always a great way to approach a new brand, especially when you don't know what to try first. This set contains foot cream, hand cream, honey lip balm and the milk & honey body lotion I already had my eyes on. A head to toes set to give a nice try to Burt's bees' line and would also make a lovely gift for a natural skin care fiend.

002 I've never been a candle person but over the last year or so I really enjoyed them: they can make the house warmer and more personal in matter of minutes. Obviously there're many cheaper options on the market, but Diptyque candles are more of a threat because of the price tag and something I'd like to receive as a gift; after all we don't often indulge in expensive buys for ourselves. They're quite popular in the UK and after smelling them the other day at the mall I can understand why: gorgeous scents, elegant packaging and different sizes for all budgets. A candle could be a nice gift for a fragrance lover and among other things definitely less risky than buying a random perfume.

003 China Glaze knows how to do glitter polishes and there's nothing better than sparkle galore and Christmas tree shades for the Holiday season. Nail polish sets are usually very good value for money and this China Glaze set looks very festive, so it'll make the perfect Christmas gift. Or, even better, you could split the nail polishes and use them as stocking fillers: you'll be making your beauty-loving friends happy while keeping secret Santa's budget low at the same time. It's a win/win solution.

004 Usually the Body shop Christmas range is by far one of the best Holiday releases and this years' collection doesn't disappoint. Along with Vanilla bliss and Cranberry joy, TBS will release in these days the Ginger sparkle body range, with cute little Gingerbread men on the packaging and extra zingy ginger scent. The moment I saw the press release I added the whole range to my to-buy list. Can't resist to cute Gingerbread men!

Un mese e mezzo a Natale e mi sto praticamente arrampicando sui muri dall'eccitazione! Avete già iniziato a pensare ai regali per i vostri cari? Visto che odio i regali raffazzonati e lo shopping dell'ultimo minuto, ho già iniziato a sfogliare i cataloghi natalizi e la sezione regali dei miei siti preferiti per trovare il regalo perfetto per ognuno. E non è vietato cercare cose anche per me già che ci sono, giusto? Meglio fornire più opzioni a Babbo Natale, disse lei con espressione seria.

001 Negli ultimi tempi sono veramente ossessionata da Burt's bees e i loro prodotti. Non ho ancora avuto l'occasione di comprare niente, ma ho cercato su internet alcuni set, che a mio parere sono il modo migliore per accostarsi ad una nuovo marchio, soprattutto se non si sa da dove cominciare. Questo kit contiene una crema per i piedi, una per le mani, un balsamo labbra al miele e la lozione corpo al latte & miele che avevo già adocchiato in precedenza. Un set per la cura dalla testa ai piedi per testare il marchio per bene ed un regalo senz'altro molto gradito da un'appassionata di prodotti ecobio.

002 Non sono mai stata un'amante delle candele ma nell'ultimo hanno sono diventate una vera e propria passione: in pochi minuti rendono la casa più calda ed aggiungono un tocco davvero personale all'ambiente. Ovviamente esistono opzioni più economiche - Sephora propone un set da 3 per esempio -, ma le candele Diptyque sono quasi una coccola, visto il prezzo di listino, e mi piacerebbe riceverne una per Natale; dopotutto non ci concediamo molto spesso delle frivolezze così costose. Sono piuttosto popolari in Inghilterra e dopo averle annusate alLa Rinascente ho capito il perchè: profumazioni favolose, packaging elegante e diverse taglie per tutte le tasche. Una candela potrebbe essere un'opzione interessante per un'amante delle fragranze fiorite/fruttate, e non così rischiosa come l'acquisto di una bottiglia di profumo a caso.

003 China Glaze sa come si fanno gli smalti glitter e non c'è niente di meglio di un'esplosione di brillantini nei colori intonati all'albero di Natale per le feste. I set di smalti di solito sono molto convenienti e questo di China Glaze in particolare è molto festoso e sarebbe quindi il regalo perfetto per una fanatica di smalti. Oppure, ancora meglio, potreste dividere il set e distribuire gli smalti come piccoli pensierini alle amiche: più regali in un colpo solo, con un occhio al portafoglio. La soluzione perfetta!

004 Di solito la collezione di Natale di The Body shop è una delle migliori uscite natalizie in assoluto e quella di quest'anno non delude. Insieme a Vanilla bliss e Cranberry joy, TBS proporrà nei prossimi giorni la linea Ginger sparkle, con graziosi omini di pan di zenzero sulle confezioni e una briosa profumazione al ginger. Appena ho visto la cartella stampa ho aggiunto l'intera linea allo zenzero alla mia lista delle cose da comprare. Non resisto a quegli omini coi bottoni gommosi! La linea natalizia sarà disponibile dal 16 Novembre online e nei negozi, non vedo l'ora!

Sleek makeup the Berry Collection

One of the most seen trends for this fall/winter is undoubtedly red, from bold retro lips to more daring red eyeshadows for fierce smoky eyes. Bright red is definitely not for everyone, but Sleek makeup came out with some fine pieces suitable for all skin tones, that could make the approach to this season’s trends way easier.

The Berry collection is a limited edition set of 3 makeup products - a blush, a lipstick and a jumbo eye kohl -, all featuring rich, sultry berry tones.

Cranberry is a True color lipstick with matte finish; the mulled wine shade is perfect for a sultry party look but it can also be wore like a stain – barely tapped on the lips using fingers or directly from the bullet – for everyday wear. The matte formula is long wearing but quite drying, so remember to exfoliate and moisturize the lips very well before use. It smells a little waxy, like some vintage lipsticks.
The powder blush, Fenberry, gives a lovely crimson flush that would suit both fairer and darker skin tones. The moment I saw it I thought about NARS Dolce Vita and it’s a very good dupe indeed – see the swatches below -. The shade is almost the same, as is the pigmentation; Fenberry is just a bit more satiny and slightly darker than Dolce Vita, but it’s barely noticeable.
Finally, Mossberry is a jumbo eye pencil, soft enough to be easily smudged around the eyes for an stress-free smoky eye. I wouldn’t use it on the waterline though, the irritated eye effect is just around the corner.

Uno dei trend comparso più di frequente sulle passerelle autunno/inverno di quest’anno è stato senza dubbio il rosso, dal trucco labbra un po’ retrò agli smoky eyes più audaci. Il rosso acceso decisamente non è per tutti, ma Sleek makeup ha creato alcuni prodotti adatti a tutti gli incarnati che renderanno l’approccio ai trend di stagione un po’ più semplice.
La Berry collection è un set di 3 prodotti in edizione limitata - un blush, un rossetto ed un matitone occhi – tutti nelle tonalità ricche e sensuali del borgogna.

Cranberry è un rossetto della linea True Color con un finish matte; il color vinaccia è perfetto per un look voluttuoso per le feste, ma si può applicare anche come stain – picchiettando appena sulle labbra con le dita o direttamente dal bullet – per un makeup da tutti i giorni. La formula matte dura a lungo ma è anche molto asciutta, per cui esfoliate ed idratate le labbra con cura prima dell’applicazione. Ha un sentore di cera tipico dei rossetti di una volta.
Il blush in polvere, Fenberry, dona una sfumatura rosa cremisi che si addice sia agli incarnati porcellana, sia alle carnagioni più scure. Appena l’ho visto ho pensato immediatamente a Dolce Vita di NARS e infatti è un ottimo sostituto – vedi gli swatches più su -. La tonalità è quasi la stessa, come la pigmentazione; Fenberry è lievemente più scuro ed ha un finish meno matte, ma le differenze si notano appena.
Infine Mossberry è un matitone per occhi, morbido abbastanza per essere sfumato con facilità per un semplice trucco smoky. Eviterei però di usarlo sulla rima inferiore dell’occhio per evitare l’effetto occhi infiammati.

Tutti i prodotti sono in edizione limitata e non possono essere acquistati singolarmente. Tuttavia il set è estremamente conveniente: costa 12€ e il rossetto e il blush da soli costerebbero 7€ l’uno.
