I can’t believe is July already! But it means is that time of the month again: my monthly favorites!
The second half of the month has been extremely hot here – and with hot I mean just thinking of getting dressed makes you want to cry, let alone putting something on your face - so I had to cut down my makeup routine to bare bones not to melt down.

CHANEL Vitalumière foundation
As you may know by now, my love for Chanel foundations is endless and when I picked it, I knew Vitalumière wasn’t going to let me down. Feels light and looks natural, like very glowy skin and holds well through the day with just a tin veil of powder. Being a moisturizing foundation, a little fading is predictable but it never looks patchy or cakey; it’s a perfect daytime base for this time of the year.

LIZ EARLE Healthy glow cream blush in Camellia
Its cream-to-powder finish makes it very long lasting and sweat proof, but the soft dewy finish provides a fresh natural look. Is the classic bonne mine shade and works well on the lips too. Gotta love double duty products!

Nothing better than bright pink cheeks to save the day. Extra pigmented but easy to blend, this blush lasts all day without fading or budging. The lipgloss-style packaging makes it easy to travel with for eventual touch-ups during the day, with no risk of melting in your bag. Let’s hope this guy makes it to the permanent range because is ah-may-zing.
CHANEL Illusion d’ombre long-wear luminous eyeshadow #81 Fantasme
More than an actual eyeshadow, this is like a bunch of fine silver and white shimmer suspended in a clear mousse. It reminds me a lot of the MAC Reflects pearl glitters, but without fall outs because of the cream base. It’s perfect to add a little twist to the simple no-eyeshadow-only-mascara look.

MAC Tread Gently Tendertone
Really comfortable to wear, moisturizing and glossy, with an extra spf 12 and a lovely tuttifrutti scent. Huge downside tho, Tendertones get extremely soft when the weather gets warm, so watch out or you’ll end up sticking your whole finger in them like I did.

DEBORAH Shine creator lipstick*
During the Color lab event I got the whole range to try out and I have to say I was quite impressed with the formula: moisturizing and glossy but very pigmented. A couple of weeks ago I received my customized shade – the one in the picture – and I have been pretty much despairing ever since: a part of me wants to wear it all the time because it’s the perfect shade, while the other half doesn’t want to use it at all, ‘cause when it’s gone it’s gone for good.

Non posso credere che sia già Luglio! Ma questo significa che è di nuovo quel periodo del mese: è il momento dei miei prodotti preferiti!
Soprattutto durante la seconda parte del mese il caldo qui a Milano è stato insopportabile – il genere di temperature che ti fa venir voglia di piangere solo all’idea di vestirsi, figurarsi mettersi qualcosa in faccia -, quindi ho dovuto ridurre la mia routine ai minimi storici per non sciogliermi.
Questi sono i prodotti che mi hanno aiutata a sopravvivere alle ultime settimane:

Come ormai saprete, il mio amore per i fondotinta Chanel è infinito e quando l’ho tirato fuori dal cassetto, sapevo che il Vitalumière non mi avrebbe delusa. E’ leggero e naturale, con un finish molto luminoso ed una buona durata quando accompagnato ad un velo di polvere fissante. Essendo un fondotinta idratante ci si deve aspettare un minimo di dissolvenza, ma sempre e comunque in maniera uniforme e non cakey; è la base perfetta per questo periodo dell’anno.

Il finish che passa da crema a polvere lo rende un blush a lunga durata ed a prova di traspirazione, ma il finish luminoso conferisce un effetto fresco e naturale. E’ il colore perfetto per un look bonne mine e si può utilizzare anche sulle labbra. Come si fa a non amare i prodotti multiuso?

CLARINS Eclàt minute blush #01 vitamin pink
Niente meglio di guance rosa brillante per salvare una giornata storta. Super pigmentato ma facile da sfumare grazie alla consistenza simile a gel, questo blush resiste anche al caldo più afoso senza muoversi. Il packaging tipo lipgloss lo rende perfetto da tenere in borsetta per eventuali ritocchi, senza il rischio che si sciolga se lo dimenticate in macchina. Speriamo che sia promosso alla linea permanente perché è fa.vo.lo.so.

Durante l’evento Color lab ho ricevuto l’intera linea da testare e devo ammettere di essere molto colpita dalla formulazione: idratante e glossy, ma anche molto pigmentata. Un paio di settimane fa ho ricevuto il mio rossetto personalizzato - quello nella foto - e da allora sono in preda alla disperazione: una parte di me vorrebbe usarlo tutti i giorni perchè il colore è semplicemente perfetto, mentre l’altra metà vorrebbe conservarlo per le occasioni speciali, perché una volta finito sarà andato per sempre.
