NUXE Reve de miel lip balm

I first discovered NUXE thanks to Glossybox back in October. I wasn’t overly impressed with the product at the time and I haven’t really explored the brand until the whole French pharmacy fever that hit the blogger community made me want to find out more about it.

     

 

After hearing so many good things about it I finally caved and bought the Reve de Miel lip balm.

Texture wise is kinda weird, waxy and a bit gritty, but once you warm it up on the lips it turns into a thick matte balm. I like that it doesn’t feel slippery like other glossy balms and stays put no matter what – you’re not going to eat it off in matter of minutes -.
It literally lasts forever on the lips: I use it mostly as a night balm and sometimes when I wake up I can still feel a little residue. It smells like a yummy lemon tart to me, so the scent gets a big thumb up.
The matte finish makes it perfect to prep the lips for any kind of lipstick and for boys too.

Overall a great product, definitely worth the splurge: I did a little double take in store when I saw the price – 12€/9.5£ is not cheap – but you get 15ml and an amazing product, all in a grown up-like glass pot that feels very luxurious.

Ho sentito parlare per la prima volta di NUXE grazie alla Glossybox di Ottobre. L’olio multiuso non mi aveva impressionata particolarmente a suo tempo, per cui non mi sono interessata ulteriormente alla brand fino a che la febbre dei prodotti di parafarmacia francese non è esplosa nella comunità beauty ed ho voluto saperne di più.

Dopo averne sentito parlare così tanto alla fine ho ceduto anche io ed ho comprato il balsamo labbra Rêve de Miel.

La texture particolare, simile ad una cera e vagamente granulosa, salta subito all’occhio ma una volta che il prodotto si scalda a contatto con le labbra si stende facilmente e diventa un balsamo denso ed opaco. Diversamente dai soliti balsami glossy e un po’ viscidi, questo balsamo è molto confortevole e resta strenuamente al suo posto – non è il genere di lip balm che svanisce in pochi minuti perché ve lo siete mangiato insomma -.
Dura letteralmente un’eternità: lo utilizzo principalmente come trattamennto notte e delle volte mi è capitato di svegliarmi con ancora un piccolo residuo sulle labbra. Per me profuma di torta al limone quindi doppio pollice in su per la profumazione.
Il finish matte lo rende perfetto per fare da primer ad ogni tipo di rossetto ed anche per i ragazzi. Quindi un ottimo prodotto, che vale decisamente la spesa: in farmacia ho controllato il prezzo due volte per essere sicura – 12€ non è certo poco – ma il formato è da 15ml ed il prodotto è davvero fenomenale, senza contare che il tutto vi viene presentato in una lussuosa giara di vetro, molto seria e francese.

Avete trovato anche voi il mitico balsamo che non vi delude mai oppure c’è un prodotto di parafarmacia francese che volete assolutamente provare?
