Notd: butter LONDON Knackered

Knackered is described as a sheer, twinkling oyster shade flecked with micro glitter particles. It's a jade green/purple duocrhome with holographic glitters. The rainbow sparkle is a little camera shy, but looks amazing in real life, especially when your nails get hit by the sun. It has the signature dreamy texture of the other Butter LONDON nail polishes I own: easy to work with, not streaky, dries reasonably quickly and doesn't chip too fast.

Unfortunately is on the sheer side: here I applied four coats - I'm a little anal and I absolutely hate being able to see the half-moons underneath a polish - and I can tell Knackered is definitely a beauty but four coats are a little too much trouble. But. There's a but. It looks stunning when layered over other nail polishes. I applied on top of OPI Thanks a windmillion, a creamy dollar green, and two tin layers were enough to enhance both the glitters and the duochrome.

Pictures do no justice to this gorgeous and unique polish. Definitely a must have for every nail varnish addicted.

Knackered è descritto come un luccicante color ostrica semi-trasparente con micro glitter. Si tratta di un duochrome verde giada e viola con tantissimi glitter olografici. Il luccichio arcobaleno è un po' timido in foto ma dal vivo è favoloso, soprattutto alla luce del sole. La texture è un sogno ed è la stessa di tutti gli slatri smalti Butter LONDON che possiedo: facile da stendere ed uniforme nell'applicazione, si asciuga abbastanza rapidamente e non si scheggia facilmente.

Sfortunatamente la pigmentazione è un po' scarsa: qui ho applicato quattro strati - sono un po' ossessiva ed odio vedere le lunette in trasparenza sotto allo smalto -; è obiettivamente un colore bellissimo, ma decisamente problematico perchè quattro mani sono un disturbo eccessivo. Ma, e c'è un ma, Knackered è favoloso anche quando sovrapposto ad altri colori. Ho provato a stenderlo sopra ad una mano di OPI Thanks a windmillion, un verde dollaro opaco, e due strati sottili sono stati sufficienti a far risaltare non solo il duochrome ma anche i glitter.

La foto non rende giustizia a questo meraviglioso smalto, che è decisamente un must have per tutte le appassionate.
